Where is best to meet a friend dropping my Son down?

SUGGESTIONS NEEDED PLEASE

 

I am travelling down to Glastonbury Wednesday/Thursday.

 

My Son is away on a school trip and is being brought down to Friday evening by a friend who has agreed to meet me somewhere.....

 

I don't want to use my car as I am travelling down in convey with friends and don't want to end up in a random car park separately to them for when we pack up and return home. My friend has suggested getting the shuttle from Glastonbury back to the Castle Cary train station and meeting them there. Alternatively, to get on the train and travel out and meet them somewhere else close but potentially less busy. I have only been to Glastonbury once before and drove there & back so this is all VERY new to me.

 

I am getting quite anxious about this now and wondered what people recommend. I had arranged for my son to be able to come to the Orange gate as he has an access card but that closes at 8pm and I don't think they will make it in time!

drop off is at the bath and west show ground , free shuttles available at gate A ..... can be dropped there by car and you can go and meet him , just remember to take your ticket to the gate and you will get a pass out issued . keep this and ticket to get back in . and get a transfer back to gate A .... just allow a few hours for the whole trip .

Drop off point at B&W showground. You get the shuttle bus and meet them there

There is a local Tesco in Shepton mallet. that is where a lot of people meet. you will need to drive there though
