Yeah, tbh, I hadn't even spotted that they were still touring, but seeing them get added to Avalon this year kick started me reuniting with Thunder, Lightning, Strike over the past few weeks in quite a big way.

I’ll be on my own and go for Lankum up at the Park. Their album False Lankum was top of several best of 2023 lists.

 

It’s dark, disturbing Irish folk. There won’t be anything like it. I’ve no idea what they’re like live.

I really haven't got one standout act. I'm not saying it's a bad lineup, but there aren't any acts on the lineup that I'd consider an all time favourite of mine.

Think I might have noted this before but I saw them at the Barras in February and they only played a couple of tracks from it.

They are breathtaking live. Absolutely extraordinary. Saw them open The Park a few years ago and they were great. Since then they've become something much more. Saw them headline Supersonic last year and they were phenomenal. The Park's rig will do their sound and harmonies justice.

 

And, it's as if I've paid you to set this up for the thread - I'm only not going to see Lankum as I'll be watching my must-see from the beginning of the thread!!
