I was watching the highlights from 2017 yesterday, which included some of the shows I watched and others I missed. Great way to get excited for this year, although excitement levels in the house already high,

Where are you seeing these? I don’t seem to be able to find them on the iPlayer

Rewatching 50 Years & Counting.

Emily really negative about the 2000 to 2007 period. Basically says the festival lost its way.

Interesting. In what way?

She basically says the focus on booking indie lad bands to headline was leading to diminishing returns and the Jay-Z booking was a necessary course correction.

And axing WG was the final part of the correction?

Yeah, its there. The only "new" video theyve put up other than highlights is Tom Jones 2009.

official for the livestream. Im guessing they want to see the traffic and how best to move forward expanding it. Shouldve been all 3 headliners though.

I quite enjoyed it personally. By no means the best we've seen on the pyramid but having watched it back on tv i can see why it went down like it did.

We watched it back recently and it honestly felt like Alex Turner was quite out of it. The long gaps between songs, the weird stage patter. It all just felt off. Know he'd had a medical issue just beforehand so did wonder if it was painkillers getting him through (or something stronger).
