Them clashing with Cyndi is a pisser.

Yeah, I still have her highlighted so one of my possible changes but I could have seen her before and didn't bother, so I've convinced myself I'm not really arsed.

My plans are a mess. I've clicked all the things I'm remotely interested in, then at a glance I'll see what's about to start and make the decision based on where I am and what I'm in the mood for.

Thats exactly the way to do it! Note the must sees which will usually be only a few, then flag the "would like to sees". Then wander around and see where you want to go. A lot of the want to sees will be in different areas that will involve a lot of walking, so you may ditch quite a few and find something better nearer to where you are at the time, and find something completely new,  end up bimbling around and see other cool stuff/people to talk to

Was looking to do this too but might be a nightmare getting a good spot for Coldplay given Streets finish 15 minutes before.

Because of the lights etc, I don't mind being a bit further back for Coldplay as you still feel part of the show. I also find that you can usually get a good enough spot coming from the Other stage, especially as I'm not fussed about being near the front for the Streets. It was a tough choice but the Streets and Coldplay are must sees for all of our group (except 1 person for each), so decided it's best for us all to stick together for those two.

Have bolded the stuff that I'm pretty certain I'm going to go and see, the rest is a vague idea based on clashfinder but will be heavily influenced by where I am, what my mates are doing and what I feel like doing at any one point in time.

Thursday

- Currently planning a pub crawl for most of the day -> If I'm still standing, heading to Fat Dog at Strummerville who are on at 11pm I think, although could have sworn this was earlier (and hence why I'd decided to plan a stop at the strummerville bar on the pub crawl).

Friday

- Annie Mac -> Barry can't swim -> Confidence man -> Bombay bicycle club -> LCD soundsystem -> Jungle -> Bicep/SE corner

Saturday

- Knee cap/Femi Kuti -> The Staves -> Cut Capers -> The last dinner party -> Bloc party -> Camilla Cabero/Little Simz -> ??? Maybe some sort of combo of Ocean Colour Scene/Disclosure -> Arcadia/The Park

Sunday

- TBC morning/early afternoon -> James -> Shania (I wish but v. unlikely due to my before and after plans) -> The Go! Team -> Janelle Monae -> Two door cinema club/NIA archives -> Justice/The National -> Silver Hayes -> Coach home at 3am

Proximity is huge. Sometimes your legs just say 'nah, not Strummerville today' lol

I have highlighted loads and will switch some of these on the day but at the moment

Fri - The Snuts > Remi Wolf > Kenya Grace > Confidence Man > Bombay Bicycle Club > some of Arlo Parks > Aurora > Dua Lipa > Taphouse or BBC intro to give Mr CWG his indie fix > Psychedelic Porn Crumpets

Sat - Johnny Flynn > Mary in the Junkyard or Beatles Dub Club > Cindi Lauper > Keane > Woodsies Secret Set (happy with any of rumours) > English Teacher > Coldplay > Scissors TBA (Beth Ditto) > An Dannsa > FBS

Sun - the Zutons > The K’s > NewDad > James > Nothing But Thieves > Avril Lavigne > 2Door > The National > (end of The Feeling) > The Scratch > Us

That Sunday afternoon will be 5 in a row at The Other. Crazy, but also quite chilled considering how much stomping around we will do over the rest of the weekend.

Me too.. I have 97 acts highlighted..  so I know what all my options are at any point and can make a decision on the day or at the end of a set.  Though some days have more of a structure where the must sees are.  Maybe something like this…

Wed - wandering and Lost Boys

Thurs - Thrill Collins, Groove Armada DJ, The Plumps B2B Kraft Kuts

Fri -  Annie Mac, Barry can’t swim, Confidence Man, sugababes, PJ Harvey, LCD Soundsystem, Dua Lipa, Honey Dijon, Bicep, Camelphat.

Sat - The Staves, Cyndi Lauper, Francois K, Last Dinner Party, The breeders, Coldplay Or Jessie Ware, Eric Prydz

Sun - Luke Una, Go Team, BabyQueen, Romy, maybe a quick bit of Gypsy Kings before Justice.

97?  You maniac!  My long list before the pruning shears came out was about 60.

Yep.  Had to concede to Mrs 4AM on this one.  Cyndi's last hurrah versus what she calls "Alvin and the Chipmunks playing punk on Meth" was a tough call.  I may still stomp off solo to The Park TBH.

Yes I do similar so that I can decide what to do depending on where I am/what I feel like etc.  First choices are in green to make them easier to stand out - I think I've only got about 8 of them.  I've just checked and I have 129 others highlighted!  But that includes repeat highlights for the fun stuff like Doreen Doreen, Old Time Sailors etc!

I've not included anything post-headliners, will just see where my feet take me. The only absolute certainties at this stage are James, Jordan Rakei, Coldplay and one of the Stornoway sets

Thursday: Caleb Kunle (Wishing Well) -> Royston Club (Bread & Roses) -> Perhaps Hak Baker (Peace) -> Anthony Szmierek (West Holts Bar), but no stressing about any of it

Friday: Sofia Kourtesis (West Holts) -> Barry Can't Swim (Park) -> Hopefully a bit of Cosmo Sheldrake (Greenpeace) on the way to Stornoway (Acoustic) -> Sugababes (West Holts) -> Tanita Tikaram (Acoustic) -> Aurora (Park) -> Jungle (West Holts)

Saturday: Johnny Flynn (Park) -> Beatles Dub Club (Bimble Inn) -> some kind of arrangement of Tems, Cyndi Lauper, TLDP and Keane, or only a couple of them, or none, whatever -> Michael Kiwanuka (Pyramid) -> Black Pumas (West Holts) -> Coldplay (Pyramid).

Sunday: Matthew Halsall (West Holts) -> Cassetteboy & DJ Rubbish (Glade) -> James (Other) -> Jordan Rakei (West Holts) -> Lottery Winners (Leftfield) -> Cat Empire (Avalon) -> Justice (West Holts)
