Who’s going to steal the festival?

Interested in everyone’s thoughts and picks on which act is going to steal the show and really make a statement. Who’s going to be the act that your work colleagues all ask if you caught around the water cooler when you tell them you’ve been at worthy farm over the weekend?.

I reckon Dua as well. She’ll get the big picture in the Saturday morning papers, and the ‘Glasto’s back’ vibe.

If I was to pick one act it would be Dua Lipa as the sure fire one.

 

I think if the weather is good then SZA is going to surprise a lot of people.

 

For guitar music probably between Idles & Fontaines

 

Probably the hype band that could push them more into peoples consciousness is The Last Dinner Party

They will totally smash that Other headline slot and flush the 2017 down the drain.

I reckon Dua. I think her delight at being there will be infectious and it will be a hell of a party for anyone there.  And good for her.

They will put on a fantastic show that will look great on the telly

The lineup is fairly steady. I think the performances will be steady. And I think that nobody will particularly steal the show (not on the main televised stages anyway. I expect amazing performances on the smaller stages, but that will never be a festival-wide smash).

Hate to say it, prob Dua. Coldplay will put on a good show backed by the organisers obsession with them, but maybe nothing we haven't seen before.

Really not into her music and will not be there. Just not my thing

 

BUT. I will concur that Dua Lipa is gonna be the one.  It will be a bigger deal as she got a lot of stick from people for getting the headline slot

Where I work, everyone will ask if I saw Coldplay. But that says more about where I work than Glasto or Coldplay.

 

I think Dua Lipa will be off the charts. She’s a fan/punter and has gone on record as saying it’s occupied her thoughts for over a year. Not 100% I’ll be there but may be tempted on the day.

Saw Dua Lipa when she played JP in 2017. Her performance was good, she looked stunning, but her music didn’t connect with me at all. Boring beyond 🥱 I needed a strong dose of Korean techno to rebalance 😂

Park will be a live set, with a band. 

Arcadia will be a DJ set.
