Hi All - I couldn't find an existing thread so feel free to redirect me. Im travelling up from St Albans hoping to pitch a 3 person tent on site. How do the various fields compare? Were not bothered about late night noise we like the later hours and earplugs work fine but would probably want to avoid the YOOF field from previous experience. We don,t want to walk too far to the main stages. So could you advise on a good field  for us to settle in and maybe an appropriate car park to head to?Thank-you in advance.Si.

I'm afraid to say all the general camping is quite a walk from the stages. Only the luxury, teepees etc are closer. But even some of those are quite far. Latitude isn't really a festival where you can easily pop back to the tent for a rest. Like other festivals it's normally quieter the further you are from the arena. On the flip side the camping furthest out can be extremely close to the car.

Car parking you won't have a choice, it'll be wherever you are directed to. You will find a lot of people with weekend tickets turn up through Friday and even into Saturday morning. Then leave again by Sunday night. So long as you are in by about 12 on Friday you'll be parked reasonably near the camping and easily find somewhere to pitch your tent. If you're not it's easy on the Monday morning to move a lot closer. Because a lot of people have already gone it's rarely a problem to drive away on Monday.

The exception to this was 2021 when almost literally everyone made a whole weekend of it. Even by Friday morning finding a space for a tent was a nightmare.
