I’ve just arrived at my hotel 30 mins outside Glastonbury but will be getting up at 03:00 and heading for Gate D 👍

There are about a dozen people in the queue on Gate B since 11.30 am this morning- they must be roasting as it’s scorchio here - bring plenty of water !

Genuine question; when did this start happening? I haven't been for a few years granted but I used to come on the Thursday and it felt like about 50% max of people were in and camping

Arrived at gate B but they won’t let any cars in yet. Previous years we’d have been in the snake by now - they are adamant that they won’t let anyone in until 9pm… stress!

I truly believe the football is to blame. There was one game which everyone tried to get in for - started making people come earlier and earlier..

 

Then post pandemic people just wanted even more party.

2009 was the first year people arrived at gates o'clock in overwhelming numbers. It caught the festival by suprise, and me for that matter.

It's also cos it's the ony way you get to camp in any of the popular campsites.

Just drive on that's what we did and was let in
