Day ticket price for each individual day was over 150 Euro... it normally this pricey?

I think they were around 130 euro last year. But, can't recall 100%. I only go weekend ticket. Works out £120 which is good value compared to Download day ticket.

Well yeah - weekend ticket is always the best value. I was just surprised at the large day ticket, though I'm aware it's kind of the going rate given Reading's also now clears the £100 mark and then some.

A question about camping:

In my previous experiences, I found it challenging when the campsites were too crowded (e.g. the hive at RW). People fall over your tend when they try to reach theirs, because everyone are so densed together.

I saw that pinkpop has the option for a pre pitched tent. Can I hope for a bit more space and order if I go for this option? Is that an area where there are only pre pitched tents? Or are the tents super crowded anyway?

Compared to other festivals, the campsites are quite strictly managed as they fill up and purely from my experience, I haven’t seen tents get wedged into constrained spaces (unlike I’ve witnessed Leeds / Reading and Download). Once a campsite is deemed full, they put out on socials and announce to the queue and strategically channel people through campsites as they fill the sites.

Again, anecdotally - campsite etiquette is much better than other festivals I’ve been to, and you get a sense of people’s space / stuff been respected. No waking up in the early hours to a big campfire 2 feet from your tent (like Leeds fest…) haha. But, the campsites have a buzzing atmosphere and everyone friendly / a great sense of excitement and people there for a celebration of great music. The caveat is, that it’s only my experience. But, I find it significantly better / safer than many others.

We’ve actually booked a Yurt in the Glampink this year. We find Festitent and pre-prepared tents much better, as it works out more cost-effective than checking luggage on Ryanair and saves the hassle of setting up / breaking down a camp.

Some interesting comments. Sounds like exciting additions to come. Historically, announcement #2 usually is packed with established artists and some big hitters. Tends to drop mid-late January.

Thank you so much for this answer. I think I'll go for it. Thanks!

Another funny question - apart from Amsterdam, are there any international airports nearby? I was told that maybe brussles is closer, but I assume that trains from Amsterdam would be more frequent... any recommendations here?

Maastricht is apparently the closest, although I didn't know there was an airport there ngl. Wikipedia says it's not served by many if any flights.

When I did my research for a consideration of coming along, I looked at Cologne as a possibility. Tbf I had looked at Amsterdam before realising it was a 3 hour train ride.

Apparently Dusseldorf is closer than Cologne and Eindhoven might be a go-er as well.

Guess it depends where you're coming in from.

Many thanks. Yeah, I kind of doubt I can find a flight from Israel to Eindhoven or Cologne. But 3 hours isn't too bad for me on the train.

Thanks, thanks and again thanks.

We’ve done Amsterdam route before, but it felt a drag going back. We now stick to the Cologne route tbh. Looked at others, but we find the flights from Manchester-Cologne are always the cheapest, often by some distance and it’s an easy train from where we live. Bagged £35 each way this time, and the trains to the site are much more regular (and easier) from Cologne. It’s just the train to either Aachen or Heerlen and then connect to Landgraaf. The Aachen route goes through Heerlen too. The connection to Landgraaf is every 20min or so when you google, but they actually have festival specials from the Thursday of Pinkpop which seem like they are just constant. We stopped in a hotel in Heerlen last time and seemed like a festival special was waiting every time. No queues and no unpleasant overcrowding.

Then they have shuttle buses from the Landgraaf station to the various gates, or it’s a 20 min walk to Campsite A or 30min to arena. Always great to stop for a drink at the makeshift bars / stalls at Landgraaf station or dotted around Landgraaf village.

Flying back in 23, there was a few artists using the Cologne route to get from the festival and back to the U.K as well. We were sat next to The Lathums on our flight (I didn’t watch their set..)! And, Only The Poets I think was the other, who were sat a few rows behind us. Again, I’d not watched their set!🤣

Buying my tickets tomorrow! Considering different camping options. I don't understand the difference between "FestiTent 2P Easy-Relax-Enjoy" (165 euro) and "FestiTent 2P Easy-Relax" (145 euro). Seems to me they offer the exact same thing?

Is it the one with a camp chair provided / and one without?

Once you enter the portal to book it becomes clear. One is with sleeping bags and one is without.

Anyway, got the tickets! My first time at pinkpop. I never attended a festival with two main stages opposite to one another (in Primavera they were side by side) - how far are they? Assuming I'm front row at OATW, how far am I from Timberlake? 🙂

It's pretty easy to be fair. The second stage is marginally smaller (or at least it was last time). But they have D barriers, which are quite well managed. So, assuming that space fills, it can then become 1 out 1 in. Personally (at my older age)... I much prefer this approach.

But, in just 5min (assuming crowds disperse) you can be across the track and into the vicinity of the next stage. The tent and 3rd outdoor stage are just a 5-10min walk too.

By D barriers, you mean something like Golden ring? (My frames of references are RW and Lowlands)
