Rock for People 2025

QOTSA would be amazing, but they were previously announced for this year's Colours of Ostrava.

They were re-announced for some 2025 festivals like Pohoda, Oyafestivalen etc.

So I assume that Colours could have them for 2025 as well.

Maybe with their friends Eagles Of Death Metal being announced today, Rock For People also booked them for 2025

Assuming it’s likely that the Friday headliner is going to be Korn? Playing Nova Rock on Wednesday then Download on Sunday

I thought they seemed nailed on but as @turnero says they seem to like to vary it a bit. I wouldn’t necessarily rule out Kings Of Leon given that they’re now touring either side of the festival. This seems about their level now

I would say that would be too heavy with all of the 3 headliners being "heavy". Typically there is some rock/indie name.

Would see more likely someone like QoTSA or Vampire Weekend (they have been in preselection of the bands)

Havent checked if they are around though.

The list was more about genre direction (what the current RfP attendee prefers). I doubt they'll invite Charli xcx for next year, who was on that list too. Although it would be very interesting 🙂

Anyway, I'm also expecting something less heavy (even though Korn will probably be on Friday) but among other names - Rise Against, Jimmy Eat World, Wet Leg, Flogging Moly, From Ashes To New, Alien Ant Farm, Biffy Clyro, Yellowcard ...

I think these lists usually consists names which would be doable for festival with few extras "traps", but Im mixing these from other festivals, so I dont really remember who was there, except Vampire Weekend, which would be cool.

But since they were announced to UK festival late Aug, it seems unlikely 😕

Biffy would be nice as headliner too.

So why are we thinking for the last headliner guys? I've seen some say Korn and that choice seems to be very popular on their Instagram page, while some have said they may be too rocky considerin the rest of the line-up is quite heavy...

Saw others guess Kings of Leon (please no, they're so boring these days)... What is everyone thinking? Any other guesses?

Chase & Status maybe, with other editions seeing a dance act headlining?

Having seen the addition of Sigrid today logic is telling me they'll be looking at someone or something a bit 'softer' than the rest for the final headliner. My delusional brain has just seen Pulp announced for BBK and if they're doing abroad told myself that they'll be doing the Friday here.

I still think Korn are the favourites for that slot though.

Also, apologies for the double post but they replied to someone on Facebook in the comments saying before the end of the advent calendar they will give the "Day Splits and maybe we'll throw in something more" which makes me think they're hinting towards that GNR date being real. Could be a dodgy translation though.

Who are people expecting to see/would like on the undercard? Biffy Clyro, Amyl and The Sniffers, Flogging Molly, The War On Drugs, Wunderhorse and Frank Carter & The Sex Pistols all seem like realistic shouts to me.

Pulp really isn't headline material for this festival. If Korn are on Download on Sunday, it's a given that they'll be here on Friday.

The addition of Sigrid to the line up is exactly what makes this festival a little different and "unique". It's not just copying the line up of Nova Rock or RaR.

They usually release the day splits after the advent calendar on Christmas Day, not before. That GNR date is definitely real, it was published in Czech music magazine (Spark). The real question is why GNR postponed the announcement and whether they changed their mind or not.

every one of them would be right up my street!!

I've been messaging them on insta and they told me that the fstival is from 11-14 as I asked them about that additional date... they did caveat it with "if anything changes we'll announce it on social media" though, but that's not mega helpful when people from oversea are trying to arrange flights etc! Ha

I'm gonna wait until the end of the month and see... Hope you're right about Korn + all those bands though!!

Thanks bud, I just ran their reply through Google Translate so I knew it wouldn't have been spot on. Hope they've still got that GNR day, would really finish the whole thing off nicely.

Yeah, I think that GNR day would be the thing that sways me, although I don't know whether to just commit and if it doesn't happen I could be just as happy going to Prague to see Springsteen.

But I do think waiting until the end of the advent calendar is the most sensible option. Already committed to Tramlines and Kendal so only really have space left for one in the budget haha. The only band I've suggested that I don't think is realistic is Biffy, but that's because they headlined this a couple of years back. Although the festival has grown and their stock has slipped so who knows? Fingers crossed we're still smiling on the 24th!

Korn announced some solo shows with Rock am Ring/Rock im Park so I guess we're getting closer and closer to their announcement. If Korn are not the remaining headliner (would make sense if they want to differentiate themselves from NovaRock) then I don't see that many possible names. I'm just hoping Friday will be super weak so I can do a little side quest - Outbreak in London 👀

Imagine Dragons playing on the Monday 9th June in Prague also.

Thinking of doing that - R4P for the 4 days - guns n roses.

That would be a good week.
