Could you share it? Can’t find anything in the comments…

I've literally just deleted it mate... I got into a bit of an argument with them regarding the added fifth day. Last week they told me the leaked announcement for GnR was fake in Instagram messages, so today I asked why they'd said that and they came up with some bullshit about it being a separate concert blah blah... I said that's rubbish as thye're promoting it on their event and line-up poster, but I thought it all looked quite negative so I deleted it..

They basically said Korn's tour was full and when I said it wasn't and they're in Germany on wenesday 11 and UK on Sunday 15, meaning there's space, they said logistically it's not possible and "we should know".. so I'm guessing Korn are booked somewhere else on the Friday, making it impossible, and it's just yet to be announced...

Korn not being there is a bummer, but not surprising as I wrote earlier.

GNR tour announcement is a shitshow apparently, I haven't seen so many leaks in a long time 😀

I've also noticed it's a cooperation with LN, perhaps it has influence on the event comms?

Okey, I guess Korn might be announced for Greenfield then? But still, I won't 100% rule them out until RfP or Greenfield announce their remaining headliners. Their communication regarding unannounced names/speculations isn't always the best.

This whole GnR/Special day story leaves quite a bad taste. They shouldn't be advertising it under RfP brand or as a bonus day when you have to buy another ticket for it. All the mystery around how many bands/stages will be there that day doesn't help at all and the fact that they changed the dates to 11-15/6 is also very confusing.

But hey, I'm happy for them and hopefully they can sort it out. I won't be there as I couldn't care less about GnR but wish everyone a great show!

yeah, agreed.. does make you wonder if the quality of the rest line up will be affected now with some of the bands being put on the Sunday too... And that was my point - that they shouldn't be advertising it as some extra day and "gift" when you have to buy a ticket!! Then they said it's a separate event, so why are they behaving like it's theis then? Very strange tbh!

I think the last headliner will be Massive Attack! They are festival favourite as they have headlined at least twice before. (Havent checked their availability, but late June they are headlining in Croatia)

I wish they would!

Dates would work if Google is correct about when/where they're playing. I wouldn't be opposed to it at all, only time our paths have ever nearly crossed was Mad Cool 2018 and the less said about that the better...

whart issues did you have at MC? We went last year and the toilet/exit situation was sooooo bad. And that was after a few years practice for the organisers - I can't imagine what it was like 5 years earlier!

To be fair I had very limited issues (personally) with Mad Cool the 2 years I went (2018 & 2022).

However, in 2018, on the first day they had a nightmare with regards to opening the gates late. It meant queues thousands of people long trying to get in via an industrial estate in the middle of the afternoon in 40degree heat. No one handing out water or anything and it was really delayed getting in, with thousands of people missing the first couple of bands. Apparently the situation with getting taxis out of the festival was also very bad but I had a hotel very close so just walked to and from, had very little issues. Also the main water point stopped giving out water one point but I was watching a band and didn't experience this either.

The issue with Massive Attack was that they were scheduled to play this huge tent stage they used to have called The Loop at the same time Franz Ferdinand were playing one of the Main Stages. Apparently the sound bleed was really bad and Massive Attack refused to perform. (Again, I wasn't too affected because whilst I was in two minds, I am really basic and love FF so I opted for them anyways although I would probably choose MA these days).

I have to say when I went in 2022 I couldn't fault it though, everything was amazing; line-up, food and drink options, other experiences etc. Although that was the last year at it's brilliant site in IFEMA, it moved in 2023 and I haven't been back and heard some bad things since. Was tempted in 2023 by seeing RHCP there and ultimately didn't go as the location was a massive factor, one of my wife's friends did and said it was absolute chaos!

Yeah it was buddy... and RHCP weren't that great, so you didn;t miss a lot!

They created this bizarre one-way toilet system, which resulted in everyone coming back round the other side to meet their friends/family... It just lead to massive queues all over the place, which were already bad due to the fact it seemed massively oversold. The exit/metro system was downright dangerous and it was nigh on impossible to get a taxi after the event. Was a joke to be honest and someone I know who went this year said she had pretty much the same experience so I don;t think they did much to fix the problems!
