They canceled the 2nd show in Prague just a few weeks ago as well

Just been reading about that there. Sounds like they were booked to play the biggest capacity room at that venue for 4.5k people each night. Would potentially have them on the smaller end of the headliner scale  (if they are indeed a headliner, could just be speculation) for a festival of this size and I think based on looking at the controversy around them it could be a bit of a risk. But at the same time, A7X, Slipknot, LP and GNR won't have come cheap...

Yeah it was buddy... and RHCP weren't that great, so you didn;t miss a lot!

They created this bizarre one-way toilet system, which resulted in everyone coming back round the other side to meet their friends/family... It just lead to massive queues all over the place, which were already bad due to the fact it seemed massively oversold. The exit/metro system was downright dangerous and it was nigh on impossible to get a taxi after the event. Was a joke to be honest and someone I know who went this year said she had pretty much the same experience so I don;t think they did much to fix the problems!

Yeah I heard some horror stories regarding the overcrowding during RHCP. It seems a shame that it appears to have disappeared from the circuit next year, but until they sort themselves out for good it seems necessary.

They replied to someone on Facebook on Monday following the announcement to say that there would be around 15 bands added to that day, and none of the existing poster artists were on there currently.

Today's clue seems to heavily point at Falling In Reverse, sounds like they could be the last headliner reading some of the comments. Would be a shame for me, isn't the lead singer a real problem? I'm sure that they've already cancelled some festival shows next year/had them cancelled for his comments

That's good, seems like an extra day. Rather than just a guns n roses gig.

My guess is that it will be something along the lines of BST Hyde Park - one big act + few supports across few stages.

RFP has roughly 40 acts playing per normal day so I reckon it means not all stages will be open on Sunday. I wouldn't also expect massive subs given the ticket price for GNR day is lower than the standard day, but I still hope for decent undercard - e.g. The Warning would be great as they are around.

Can't grumble at just over £50 for an extra day of a festival.

+Refused, another solid add for me

(apologies if anyone thought it was FIR based on this, though I was just relaying FB comments haha.)

Is it me or is this line-up starting to look very top-heavy? I might be wrong as these bands announced may be big in Czech Republic (I'm British), but aside from A7X (who I don;t rate) I've known barely any of the acts announced in the advent calendar! Wondering whther they've blown all their budget on LP and Slipknot...

Most of the announced bands regularly tour in the UK (and are also announced for Download/NovaRock/Rock am Ring). Have you really never heard of Biffy Clyro, Eagles of the Death Metal, The Ghost Inside or Zebrahead? What did you expect? Lineup full of headliners?

On the other hand, they usually keep some big names for the last 2-3 days of the advent calendar…

You won't have a world famous band playing on smaller stages or in the early afternoon. There are still 7 bands on the Advent calendar (definitely 2 or 3 big bands - headliner + one or two sub-headliners).

Somehow I don't see the money going to just the headliners. Absolutely the strongest line up for me in 16 years of going to the fest.

Most of those bands are selling well the headline concerts in the Czech Republic and except Slovak band Horkyze Slize, it's a good booking. Probably the strongest calendar they ever had. A7X are o2 arena level here as Slipknot, so probably a similar price... Lorna Shore, I don't get the hype, but they are billed high everywhere. Refused's last tour won't be cheap.

Don't think I agree necessarily, as it's been said they can't book a festival solely with major names and need to try and fill out the undercard too.

Still at least one headliner to come, plus 7 more bands in this advent calendar alone (last year they announced 10 on the 24th so might to the same this year). Couple that with the fact there's 15 or so bands to be added to the Sunday and then still probably another 10/15 international bands to come at some point in the New Year (as well as 2 dozen CZ/SK artists) then its probably still great value for money all in all.

Out of interest who are people expecting still to be added? I've honestly got no clue for that final headliner slot (outside of possibly Massive Attack, KOL or FIR). I thought Weezer might be added since they announced Bad Nerves on Sunday, they seem to be supporting them everywhere/would fit with the rest of the bill, would be a major bonus for me.

Ultimately, I think the proof will be in the day splits. If we get a good headliner on the Friday and a couple of decent bands elsewhere I think my group will be committing just after Christmas. I paid £55 for a Biffy ticket at Piece Hall this year, Fontaines are charging £60 for Newcastle next year, Linkin Park and GNR are North of £100 each, Slipknot tickets were £100(ish) for a 14 song setlist this week. There's the ticket price covered there alone really, just want one or two little bonuses before I commit to make sure the travel is worth it too

I think it's slightly top heavy but I'd say the biggest drop is from the 2nd line to the 3rd line... but with saying that it's mostly due to the top 2 lines being very strong and stronger than usual for this festival and for the price in general

Biffy and EDM yes, the other two, no... Yeah I suppose you're right, there's still a few names to come yet. Does seem top heavy compared to other years but like I said, this may just be to my taste personally...
