Who we thinking for last headliner and maybe 1-2 big names to be added? 
 

Thinking 30STM might be there? Can see one of the big bands at DL doing both maybe BFMV or Weezer. Assume none of them are quite headliner status though?

30 STM has a show in Kazakhstan on 21 June, so I am not sure about the logistics.

 

With A7X, Slipknot, and LP... I don't think that BFMV would headline... the headliners would be too heavy.

 

Weezer is not that big in CZ.

 

No idea, what this could be... with these 3 big headliners, I don't think they can have KoL, which is good... Massive Attack just announced Mallorca on those dates... people are predicting Falling In Reverse, but I saw their booker making fun of them today on the RFP instagram.

Last year it took ±2 months for glamping to sell out. Some categories are faster to sell out, I think the tent with the wooden base went super fast as the quantity is limited.

 

Headliners finish about 11pm but the program runs till 2/3am, so no issue waiting later.

There's a dedicated taxi slot next to the festival site which worked quite well with a good supply of cars. Regarding the price, you should be around 20-30 eur one trip. Check also Pardubice, kind of a twin town to Hradec, reasonably sized and good connection, even late night.

 

Re hotels in Hradec, I would actually try to write directly to few of them, asking for the available room. I've noticed that many of the hotels didn't even bother to put rooms on sale as they knew they will be sold out anyway. My friend got the room this way a month before festival last year.

Completely crazy idea but considering they booked ZillaKami (clue for today), would someone like Playboi Carti be possible?

Zillakami is similar to Ashnikko booking in 2023, so nothing unusual I would say

You’re right with ZillaKami (had never heard of him unfortunately but not really my thing) but I was certain they were going to reveal that headliner today to coincide with the accommodations going on sale. Must be Monday for headliner now and then daysplits on Tuesday

Could be even on Tuesday, doesn’t matter it’s Christmas Eve. They’ve announced some big names on that day in previous years (Bad Omens, Papa Roach, Sum 41,…).

I notice people are starting to get annoyed about the line-up now... Most comments on Facebook seem to be negative, with people suggesting the money has been spent mainly on Linkin Park and Slipknot....

Is someone having a laugh here? pretty much every glamping option was unavailable after about 30 seconds of being on sale! The only thing left are the shite 'tent hotel' options, which there's no way I'm paying 270EUR for! 

 

No hotels and they offer extremely limited numbers of glamping optios... is this a fair indication of the organisation of the festival in general as this is a real red flag for me???

It's not extremely limited, just the demand for glamping options is insane. In 2019 it was no rush at all, 2022 it took just few weeks and it's selling out faster and faster every year.

Not limited? It sold out in 30 seconds!!! You managed to get one becaiuse someone mustn't have completed their transaction, but literalyl 30 seconds after they went on sale, I refreshed my page to make it in English and they'd all gone. I'd call that limited!!!

Any guesses who could be the last headliner? Seems it should be someone not heavy as the rest of heads are heavy.

But Im running out of options who could that be who is around. Currently thinking about two options:

 

1) Upgrading regular name to headliner status

2) Booking someone who is not frequent at festivals e.g: Metronomes Die Antwoord booking

 

please dont mention that Viktor Sheen option again 🙂

Given the bands they get it’s not as large a festival as you might expect. Correct me if I’m wrong but the capacity I believe is close to 40,000 so about half that of Download. I’d assume they provide glamping availability relative to that scale so it’s not necessarily a surprise that it’s sold out with how quickly tickets seem to be going (they recently said 80% sold out). 
 

its a bit of a shame as this close to Christmas people will miss out but its simply supply and demand for the popular glamping options. I think it’s unfair to put this as bad organisation they’ve been pretty open about demand and given all the info they can?

One of the biggest certainties in this game is that a festival could somehow get prime Queen, The Beatles and Nirvana to headline next year and people will complain on social media. It's not a big festival and I think that the line up is probably reflective of the festival's size. Might all hinge on that final headliner though...

Yeah, I don't think it's bad organisation if I'm honest. Agree that they've been quite open and warned people it could be selling out. As you say it's just a time of year that might not suit people sadly. I had planned to check a tent in as a hold bag for our flights and stay at that Spravcak (apologies if that's wrong) as that looked like the preferable option.

supply and demand.. exactly! So if you're arranging a festival where there are zero hotel options within  a 30-minute drive, and you know demand for glamping is going to be off the scale, maybe it would make sense to provide enough glamping options so as they're not sold out within 30 seconds?!

 

It can't be a lack of space as the 'tent hotel' is still on sale... So why not add more larger canvas tents or wodden platform tents, which are clearly in high demand, and reduce the basic tent options which clearly aren't? The answer probably has something to do with the fact they're charging almost 300EUR for a basic 2-man tent, so there's more profit to be made in that.

 

I think I'll be cancelling my tickets... I didn't realsie when I booked that there'd be so few options. I had to convince my family to camp as we had a nightmare with the weather at Electric Castle this year... I managed to sway them with the glamping, but there's no way will they want to do the same thing again at RfP so we're going to have to cancel 😞

Yeah actually, I suppose it makes sense to book end the calendar with two big announcements.

I wouldn't mind camping in my own tent, but my son and mum aren't keen at all after we baked and then were nearly blown aaway with a storm in Romania. I swayed them with the glamping option - didn;t realise they'd be sold out in less than a minute!!!

Aye, camping is a very hard sell sometimes. Especially if you've had a previous experience like that!

 

First festival I ever went to was T In The Park in 2012. If I survived camping in that where the water levels were so high in some bits it was honest to God knee-height, I always think I can survive just about anything

I went there the year before.. weather was fine -- the people were the issue! Haha People being robbed left, right and centre. Mad place that was!

Done so many bad UK festivals with horrendous weather, glasto 97 and 98. The first connect festival in Scotland was a bad one. 

 

It's why I've not camped at a UK festival, since 2009. 😁 Main reason why we do non UK festival now.

Totally agree that I prefer doing non-UK to UK now, I just find everything about them a better experience on the whole.
