Last year we got 13 extra smaller acts alongside the day splits. The biggest to my memory were Vukovi/Bleed From Within I think? So maybe a dozen or so smaller acts again could be on the cards

Just found last year’s line up at this point. The 13 added are in yellow; I know it’s all subjective but this year’s looks far bigger to me?

Do we think Lorna, Skillet and Biffy are the second stage headliners like Sum 41 and PD this year or main stage subs?

Possibly looking at the placements, assuming they don’t clash with the main headliners because I feel like clashing them (Slipknot and Lorna Shore especially) would be madness?

That Friday is missing someone, assume that’s where Spiritbox were due but defo seems to be short one big name (white backgrounds). Think we will get a replacement?

I would have said looking at it they were on the Wednesday since there’s no one next to A7X. If that’s the case, they got added to Nova Rock the other week to replace Falling in Reverse and if they’ve done that that is absolutely disgusting from them to be honest, and I’m not a huge fan of them to start with.

Quite happy with the day splits and some of the little additions today, The Southern River Band is a massive bonus. Seen Fickle Friends and The K’s and enjoyed both, few more on my list of potentials. Already really like the sounds of the brilliantly named Battlesnake.

Got some good things to discover over the next few days being off work

Hey guys, complete efest newbie from the UK here!

I've been trying to find various info on RfP but i've been having difficulty! I'd really appreciate if you could help with a few questions...

- The basic camping ticket says it's space for one tent, if two are sharing the tent do we both need to purchase a camping ticket?

- I'm not fully sold on taking all camping equipment on a plane so I'm considering booking a hotel and travelling in and out of the fest. Struggled to find anything that's a reasonable price in Hradec Kralove but did find something in Opocno. I looked at getting public transport (either train or bus) in the morning, then would probably get a taxi / bolt back to the hotel each night. Do you think that's really feasible or would I have a bad time?

- If I was to camp, it would definitely be by the lake so I can get a bit of a refreshing swim. Any recommendations for this? I imagine RfP gets quite hot most years? I'm used to the rain of Download, but in '23 when it was scorching I found it really difficult and would like to avoid feeling dry as a desert.

Thanks in advance!

1. Every person who camps needs to buy a camping tickets

2. It was discussed multiple times here, getting a taxi after headliner sets is pretty impossible. If you don't want to bring camping stuff by plane, it will be much cheaper to buy it in Prague

3. The whole campsite is right near the festival area, but there's a lake ~20 minutes walk from the festival

Just to build on @aaalive post

- it's doable to take a taxi from the festival, but after the headliners it's very busy. However, headliners finish around 11pm while the program runs until 2/3am so I would advise to plan accordingly. Another option to consider is renting a car, getting to/from the carpark each day is easy.

- there was a camping gear store on site last year which sold a lot of equipment, plus it was possible to order stuff and get it delivered there last year

- you can also buy a pre-pitched tent with some equipment, it's available among the glamping options

Cheers!

Thanks guys.

Yeah I've read others saying about not being able to leave immediately after headliners - that wouldn't be the plan. We'd definitely be partying afterwards, wouldn't be in a rush to leave after each night. If the music isn't starting again until 11am the next day, we could get a solid 6 hours each night or miss a couple early bands for more. I've seen others mention taxi's would still be running late at night - is that for sure?

But in terms of getting to and from Opocno itself - does anyone have any idea how feasible that would be, anyone with more local experience of public transport etc? I've looked and there are buses from Opocno and also trains that can get us to Hradec Kralove but would they be reliable?

In regard to the lake camping, has anyone here actually done it? What was your experience like?
I don't mind a 20 min walk - I've walked much further at Download fest many times haha.

And for those who are veterans of the festival, what kind of weather can I expect? Is it a be prepared for anything like at Download? :')

Taxi is available the whole night (or at least until the festival arena close). The festival cooperates with multiple taxi companies and there are even taxi drivers from other cities just for the festival.

Public transport in Czechia is super reliable. There can be some delays sometimes but it gets rarely cancelled. And the delays are more common for long-distance trains/buses than for regional lines. In this case, buses are much better option as the train station in Opočno is quite far from the town centre. Tickets are sold by the bus driver. You would have to get a taxi back to Opočno though as there are no buses or trains till the morning.

The weather is usually nice. 2022 was sunny but a little bit too hot. 2023/24 - warm during the day but cold later in the night, light showers (just for a few minutes, nothing horrible). Wellies are not needed...

Hi people, hope everyone had a brilliant Christmas!

Just been scrolling through some comments on the poster whilst I was bored this morning and thought this might be of interest.

Unless I’ve read it wrong, 20 “international” bands still to be added across the main weekend (assuming approx 5 a day), a full programme of CZ/SK music and a further 15(ish) bands to be added to GNR day.
