Power went off again today at about 10.30 (was off for about 7 or 8 hours yesterday) so I went for a walk. Was out for about 4 hours and was surprised by how little damage I saw. Thankfully back on by the time I got back

Ok here so far. Not sure how it was through the night. Down at the bottom of my village is a good indicator because there's a little river there and it's prone to flooding. It gets the houses when it's really bad. I don't know how they sleep. Must be awful

Any more snow this winter? What do we think?

Not sure about snow, but certainly more frosts to come, so possibly more snow.

We had heavy snow at the end of March in 2018... (I remember because Wickerman's opening, at Alton Towers, was snowed off. 馃檲馃ぃ)

We don't get very much snow down here on the South East coast but when we do, it's usually in February, or at least it has been the last few times. I think it's because the warm air from the continent over the channel keeps it away until then.

So yeah, snow in the next 2-3 weeks wouldn't surprise me 馃檪

I remember that snow well. Had a weekend getaway in the countryside with some friends. The trains were cancelled, so we had to get a bus. The bus had to stop a few miles away from the inn we were staying at, so we had to walk about five miles in the snow 馃樄 and on some of the hills it was waist deep!! Long haul!

I think that was Storm Emma at the start of March. That storm brought 2 foot of snow in some areas, which obviously, as you pointed out, meant even deeper drifts in some places. It snowed again, on the 17th of March, not nearly as badly, but still caused some disruption... Including preventing me from riding the UK's first wooden thrill coaster to be built in 22 years. (F*** me, I'm a sad t**t. 馃ぃ
