 OK, fair enough! Just feeling grumpy because the data signal onsite noticeably worsened during the match what with everyone watching it on devices. It was really bad timing with the Avril Lavigne slot too - my mother (in her seventies) was caught up in the stampede and got really panicked when she couldn't contact me. I'm really grateful for the wonderful steward who actively protected her. Then I get home and read about some celeb being called a hero for bringing a TV 😬 

 

I have to admit though, if it made people happy, maybe there's room for him to curate his own area next time the football clashes: Tomlinson's TV tent 😄

Don't think you can blame Louis Tomlinson for the lack of data during that time. If anything he was helping lessen the load by ensuring that 200 people weren't trying to stream it.

Edit: actually, now I do remember Janelle Monae making a couple of small speeches.  They sounded scripted as a regular part of her show rather than something spontaneous, but it was all good stuff.

Not many too controversial but seem to remember strong words from acts while I was at the Other Stage and as expected at Leftfield, but can't remember who they were or what was said exactly, someone was basically saying about genocide not being acceptable.

 

Oh and Lambrini Girls were brilliant with their political statements.

Who would have thought that acts would be mentioning politics in the days leading up to a major general election.  Noel probably just annoyed because politics doesn't matter to him when he's just flown in from his Ibiza retreat to stay in a hotel and breeze in for a few hours a day on his comped hospitality pass before jetting off to LA or whatever.  Completely disconnected from the lives of normal people and apparently thinks we should give 2 shits about his reactionary old man opinions.   

 

Anyone who complains things are "woke" is universally outed as an utter bellend.
