FRIDAY

Py: Tyler, the Creator, Asake, Chappell Roan, Khruangbin

Ot: Vampire Weekend, Beabadoobee

Wh: BARRY CAN'T SWIM

SATURDAY

Py: Kylie Minogue, Sabrina Carpenter, The Corrs, Cat Burns

Ot: Charli XCX, Glass Animals

Wh: Kamasi Washington

SUNDAY

Py: Fred Again..., RAYE, Becky Hill, Alice Cooper

Ot: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Libertines

Wh: Ms. Lauryn HIll and the Fugees

As soon as Lauryn Hill & The Fugees Tour was about to start the whole thing has been cancelled I think people will avoid booking them like the plague - which is a shame because it would be a great west holts headliner

This seems fairly reasonable

Some points:

Paolo Nutini pyramid sub is mad in 2024 I think

Sam Fender is not doing Other these days

Ice Spice on West Holts is crazy

Think Underworld more likely for WH, maybe as their sunday dance headliner

Mac DeMarco would be a strange secret set imo too

Overmono WH while Underworld is Park is crazy. Definitely would swap those two.

Seems pretty fair otherwise, i'd probably take this. Wolf Alice a pretty poor Other headliner - similarly as glastonbudget as IDLES maybe a little better

Glass Animals are definitley not pyramid sub level

Some quite random names in here, interesting to see different stuff thrown about!

----

Its interesting seeing on all of these where Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter are being placed, come June 2025 they will both be huge so will be interesting to see if either does an early slot for crowd hype or they end up like 3rd/sub pyramid

Fatboy Slim and Peggy Gou did The Park so I think Underworld would be fine.

Id back you on these - No idea if Wolf Alice are around next year that camp has been quiet for a while  - but I could definitely see the headlining the Other -  This forum was flooded with people who said LCS were nowhere big enough to sub headline and IDLES were not big enough to headline the other. Id say this or Sub-headline is where they will play next time they play -

While they may not be commercially as popular as previous acts like Lana Del Rey etc - they certainly would get a big crowd at Glastonbury and with the festival constantly getting criticised for not getting rock acts seems obvious to me.

It would be fine i'm sure, but its not a slot they would accept based on their recent shows.

Based on their tour etc WH would be far more suitable or Woodsies.

Also they are miles bigger than overmono - more meant it made far more sense to swap them than arguing about size.

I could see just about anyone doing it after IDLES (who were a bump up).

Its a piss poor booking, just as IDLES were. They should not have been high up, sure their fans are there but it was a very small booking for the slot.

Nobody was saying LCD weren't big enough to sub? They are headlining APE next weekend for a second time, clearly were fine.

They aren't bothered about not getting rock acts - regardless of what critics on Facebook comments sections say imo.

IDLES were a fantastic booking and a whole other stage field enjoyed it -  absolutely no obvious problems with the field full of people having a great time no doubts they were appreciated by those who were there -  Before them I can understand people being critical of it -  But after it has been a success - this criticism is no longer valid -   In fact its probably lucky it clashed with Fountains otherwise the field might have been dangerously full.  The festival certainly won't have any regrets over it  as you say perhaps the logic should be if IDLES can do then probably it should not be a stretch to imagine Wolf Alice in that spot.

If I can go back and screenshot people saying LCD are no way big enough and prove it to you what do I win

The festival won't have regrets they bumped up a cheap act and it worked fairly well - but glastonbury should be aiming higher than getting bands that do1 ally pally date each tour to headline its second biggest stage!

and re LCD ... Win? You'll lose a fair bit of your time

People say anything on here but the general consensus was it was fine. They are one of the most universally loved bands on here (as are IDLES to be fair)

I mean it would be great if the festival booked absolutely massive acts as big as they can in every slot.

But in the current financial climate across all festivals we probably have to expect that this just is not going to happen

If Glastonbury get options of guaranteed popular acts like IDLES for less of the cost of a some if the  bigger acts they could get in that slot I think we have to expect that they will take at least some of these.

Its probably just sensible planning for the future if anything.

I mean looking over my own stage predictions I have gone massively to big across the board.

IDLES only did it as a bump up - which is fair enough, times are tough but I don't think they should be aiming to get acts that kind of size as first picks

Size wise yours was fine at least for headliners and pyramid subs.

Wet Leg on park probably the only questionable one (aside from Ice Spice that i said before)

IDLES played there because SZA was bumped up. I get why she was, but they would have been better going WILD and booking IDLES to headline the top. It would have been heralded as a triumph. They'll make up for that next year when Fontaines top the lot.

Regardless of anything else, IDLES weren't available on the Sunday so couldn't have taken the spot.

Good point...but if offered, would have been tempting to do a Who. They're probably not the sort to sack it off. Just cry into their Kombucha.

If Fred does headline, I hope he keeps the tempo a little better next time. His Other Stage slot was good, but it wasn't the dance-a-thon people were hoping for.

That Fred set is one of my all time Glastonbury favourites. Didn't strokes for different folks.
