I know they are friends of festival ish but would be a piss poor booking they headline like 5k capacity festivals at the minute Those pyramid / other headline pairings would work well I think Libertines are having a bit of a resurgence. They’re selling out academy tours and the new album is pretty good. Do you think the 3 this year are that much bigger? There’s always a few subject placements on main and these days I’d think they’ll try get more friends of the festival in to save money on bookings because everything is getting more expensive for festivals especially if they’re booking ORod and Stevie or Eminem. Equally, they could just do an Other stage slot of headline Woodsies and you can slot someone else in there. I just wanted to try be realistic on who is going to be around next summer. Like you could easily put Sabrina Carpenter in there but are they really going to afford to book her, Olivia and Chappell Roan.

Not sure the three this year were much bigger but they are on the rise at least. I like the libertines but they are way past it. Selling out an academy tour isn't much, 3pm other stage indie bands are also able to do that e.g. circa waves, sea girls, even the hunna etc I could fully see them getting booked at 3rd down pyramid regardless of what I say but think 3rd down other is probably more appropriate given what they sell nowadays

Ben7amin_
While I think Feeder for an opening Other stage slot feels like a good fit - They actually have not played since 2003 when they played on the Pyramid stage. They seem to mostly pop up at festivals that they can headline (these are getting smaller and smaller). Having seen them a number of times I was quite a big fan in there hey day the first 5 albums are incredible. They have gone on a journey of releasing quite bland albums quite regularly. (IMO the last 4 are straight up bad probably about 3-4 good tracks between them) Having been to there shows the new songs are a lead balloon pretty heavy lack of interest from the crowd almost to the get your phones out point. I feel perhaps the insistence of dedicating large portions of there show to playing these rather bland and uninteresting newer songs is perhaps really killing them as a live act in terms of the venues are getting smaller and smaller - Id perhaps suggest that the reason they have not appeared at Glastonbury for so long is perhaps a big difference in slot size between the band and the festival - While A Feeder Greatest hits set could have the Other stage bouncing in pure nostalgia joy - the current Feeder tours are perhaps more of an early Woodsies slot. for the record I don't resent the band for trying something new, as a fan I just reserve the right to say.. Its just not very good.

I read a comment somewhere someone yelled out about them playing Glastonbury at a show once and they got a.... not while they offer us sh*tty slots or something to that effect comment back. Probably enough nostalgia acts from that period to mean the festival not to desperate to pick them up.
