Id back you on these - No idea if Wolf Alice are around next year that camp has been quiet for a while - but I could definitely see the headlining the Other - This forum was flooded with people who said LCS were nowhere big enough to sub headline and IDLES were not big enough to headline the other. Id say this or Sub-headline is where they will play next time they play - While they may not be commercially as popular as previous acts like Lana Del Rey etc - they certainly would get a big crowd at Glastonbury and with the festival constantly getting criticised for not getting rock acts seems obvious to me. It would be fine i'm sure, but its not a slot they would accept based on their recent shows. Based on their tour etc WH would be far more suitable or Woodsies. Also they are miles bigger than overmono - more meant it made far more sense to swap them than arguing about size. I could see just about anyone doing it after IDLES (who were a bump up). Its a piss poor booking, just as IDLES were. They should not have been high up, sure their fans are there but it was a very small booking for the slot. Nobody was saying LCD weren't big enough to sub? They are headlining APE next weekend for a second time, clearly were fine. They aren't bothered about not getting rock acts - regardless of what critics on Facebook comments sections say imo. IDLES were a fantastic booking and a whole other stage field enjoyed it - absolutely no obvious problems with the field full of people having a great time no doubts they were appreciated by those who were there - Before them I can understand people being critical of it - But after it has been a success - this criticism is no longer valid - In fact its probably lucky it clashed with Fountains otherwise the field might have been dangerously full. The festival certainly won't have any regrets over it as you say perhaps the logic should be if IDLES can do then probably it should not be a stretch to imagine Wolf Alice in that spot. If I can go back and screenshot people saying LCD are no way big enough and prove it to you what do I win Edited August 16 by Ben7amin_

They are one of the most universally loved bands on here (as are IDLES to be fair) I mean it would be great if the festival booked absolutely massive acts as big as they can in every slot. But in the current financial climate across all festivals we probably have to expect that this just is not going to happen If Glastonbury get options of guaranteed popular acts like IDLES for less of the cost of a some if the bigger acts they could get in that slot I think we have to expect that they will take at least some of these. Its probably just sensible planning for the future if anything. I mean looking over my own stage predictions I have gone massively to big across the board. IDLES only did it as a bump up - which is fair enough, times are tough but I don't think they should be aiming to get acts that kind of size as first picks Size wise yours was fine at least for headliners and pyramid subs.
