Too right.. he's only 50! I'm living the motto that 50 is the new 21, nowhere near finished, in fact I'm starting all over again career-wise... and I'm sure he'd see it the same way. Can I throw in a left field suggestion that he plays Glade with his new outfit Lufthaus - I'd love to see that live. And it would have to include Sophie Ellis-Bextor for guest vocals.

Otherwise, a mixed show including back catalogue + a little bit of Lufthaus with SE-B as guest, could be a full blown headline act. For me, Robbie still has an edge that his former bandmates lack now they've fully gone down the nicey nicey state occasions route. And they're absolutely fine for family car music or the telly.

He's outright proposed himself for it, in as many words, and I think it may have been more than once. Not that long ago either.

 

But as always with RW, I'm not sure whether we can fully take that at face value.. He does sometimes seem to say things just to say them.

He should probably take the Legend slot as he's outright championed it, he's not going to get the headliner birth even though I think he'd pull it off. I don't think it would be a strong move for Glastonbury.
