This year:

• Rodrigo (yes, I know it seems obvious now. Not sure anyone had categorically said she'd be headlining at that point though)
• The 1975 - watch this space
• Eminem - I appreciate there'll be no way of this one every being proved, unless he did still end up doing it. I said he'd had the offer to play.
• Stevie Wonder - was told he may be headlining this year but that also came with the caveat of 'he's well placed to be right, but he's not always been right about everything'. Due to that, I only actually shared when it was mentioned by someone else on here.
• Neil Young - ... 
• Chappell Roan - R&L exclusive. Some still seem to be doubting that. Again, watch this space
• Fontaines D.C - similar caveat to Eminem applies. Was told they'd been offered Pyramid sub and were very much undecided. They decided against it - European tour announced. You could easily say 'anyone could say that' here. All I can on that one is, it was more well placed that anything else in this post. Make of that what you will.
• GOAT, West Holts - they have a bit of a cult following, so thought the odd person may appreciate
• A new one I'll pop in today, largely irrelevant to most I suspect - TV on The Radio are playing.

• Oasis - yes, I know everyone was on weekly giving it 'it's happening'... then it didn't happen. I came on and gave absolute specifics, and it happened. I had the info at Liam's gig in the summer - came on here then and said 'it's happening. Everything is booked. The only thing that needs to happen is them two having a conversation/getting in the same room'. A few people lambasted for me that, saying that's bollocks and now how things work in the industry. The info at the gig came from someone VERY close to Liam.. in-person. I then got word a couple months later that the blocker was no longer a blocker. It was done. Popped that on here, along with when it was happening. It happened. I think this one specifically is why people trusted what I say.
• Arctic Monkeys - I said they are no more (last year). Now on an 'indefinite hiatus'. Not say they won't return in 10 years or something, if they wanna grab the cash, but, they're effectively done. I say that with a heavy heart, as I adore them. It's the reason I moved heaven and earth to get to the 'last' gig in Dublin last year. I was also lambasted for this one.

 

I've been on here actively for circa 10 years. I imagine I've posted the odd bit in the past as well, given where most of my info comes from, but I can't remember tbh. That would take some trawling.

 

With all that in my mind.. I'll share anything else I get, if I get anything else, which you can take or leave. I shouldn't really share a lot of what I do, as it could come back to bit me on the arse. I share it because, ultimately, I'm a Glastonbury obsessive like everyone else on here and it's nice to get little bits of stuff in the lead up. I know how sh*t it is when people just rock up and share a load of bollocks. I wouldn't do that. Don't see the point and I enjoy being on here.

Rod is an excellent booking for the slot. However, some of us still have scars from the 2002 show. It was woeful. Looking at the setlist now, it's difficult to believe, but it was a dreadful ending to a weird, newly fenced up weekend.
