Pilton Party 2024

Only been to it once - 2008 (Ting Tings, Franz Ferdinand...). Not really worth a long drive on it's own imo, but as part of a weekend in glastonbury perhaps. Shame it's not on the equinox weekend - we went down for that last year, found a great campsite where you can have a fire, went up the Tor,  visited the farm on Sunday. We might do that again this year

Complicated everyone in that list has played either the year of, year prior, or year following their appearance. So I’d say they’re pretty much nailed on.

Elbow appeared 2022 (year of)

Rudimental appeared 2015 (year of)

Foals appeared 2013 (year prior)

Example appeared 2013 (year of)

Plan B appeared 2011 (year of)

Yes, been several times and made it part of a camping trip to the area.

Travelling from Cardiff for this. What‘s the best way to get to there using public transport? Any nearby train stations or bus stops?

Glastonbury has a bus from Bristol and I think Shepton Mallet has a bus from Bath.

£55 for the ticket including a bus there and back plus postage  = £116 for two tickets plus a small amount of rounding = £60 each

Ah yeah fair on the package thing . Fortunately my mates wife drives us and picks us up .

Yes, I  don’t think it will sell out this year.  Libertines are good in my opinion.  Perhaps the early online selling has put people off

It hasn’t the last couple of years … elbow and the streets . I like it more as a social event ( I’ll watch the bands in silence ) but don’t think it’s particularly good for live music

Does this mean the Libertines will likely play the big G next year then? Usually they have the PP headliners back right?

The Pilton Party isn't as stick on as the extravaganza but I still think they'll do it. In fairness to recent, Elbow and Wolf Alice both have played Glastonbury a fair bit over the years that they liked appeared in the years they didn't played this.

I've not travelling that far for it but it's way better that Elbow and The Streets for me.
