gigpusher
So every year we always get some nice covers. What were everyone's favourites this year? I think my favourite would have to be Newdad doing Just Like Heaven. It was a beautiful version. 1

Runner up goes to Romy doing Ariana Grande which is not a mix I ever thought I'd like but it was a vibe. (this might be a remix rather than a cover but I thought she'd sung it live...I was drunk maybe she didn't) Edited July 10 by Talcroft Detail added
internetjef
Disclosure dropping what appeared to be a straight cover of insomnia for no reason other than it is a absolute banger haven’t watched it back so prob find I imagined this now ha

The Other Steve
Staves doing 'You're still the one' was excellent. Probably better than Shania. 1
Ayrshire Chris
Judy Collins singing Mr Tambourine Man in the Acoustic. Prior to singing it she told the story about being in the next room to Dylan, listening to him composing the song.

CaledonianGonzo
No regrets seeing Justice, but Judy Collins must have been special.

Just Judy and her guitar and a keyboard player. No iPads with music, just paper sheet music in front of her, and between songs an anecdote as she retuned her guitar. StoneCircle
Russell Crowes Indoor Garden Party's version of Dire Straits Romeo and Juliet was brilliant, and I don't usually like covers!
CaledonianGonzo
Not technically a cover, really, but The Manfreds doing Build Me Up Buttercup got the Newport Helicopters going.
Avalon_Fields
I’ll go for Lulu’s version of The Man Who Sold The World. As I don’t recall any covers elsewhere she did a few I could add: Heat Wave, I’m Still Standing, etc

Johnnyseven
A bit tenuous but Orbital doing Spicy i.e. Wannabe) with Mel C. Romy dropped bits of a few old trance tunes into her set too.
crumbler
Hardly an underplayed song but Remi Wolf did a solid version of Valerie.

Yes that only didn't win for me because I'm not a great fan of the original. Lulu did also do some great covers and the David Bowie duet was a lovely moment for me. gigpusher
Seeing all the comments about Judy Collins does make me regret that choice slightly I would love to have heard her do Both Sides Now in lieu of Joni.
