wozwebs
Did anyone stumble, as you do at Glastonbury, upon an act you didn't have on your list but who you thought were brilliant? We popped into the Bimble Inn as one of our mates drinks Guinness and not many sell it apart from there and there was a singer on called Bridget who none of us had heard of. She was superb, 70/80's punk vibes and we stayed for the whole set. Crowd were loving her and she got them to make a wall of death. Someone uploaded it here. Hoping she'll be there again, on a bigger stage next time.

4AssedMonkey
The Scratch at Avalon were great fun. Never heard of them before, but had me stomping my feet and nodding like crazy. Now McGowan has gone, them and Fontaines probably tie for "most Irish band you'll ever hear".
Monty Pythagoras
Somehow never even heard of the Old Time Sailors before but yeah we we're on board with them from about 11pm Wednesday evening

Supernintendo Chalmers
Stepped away from the insanity of the Avril Lavigne overcrowding and stumbled across Phil Hartnoll's b2b with his son, Conradical on the Arcadia Bug. I say b2b, Phil never played a single tune. Was a nice hour of ravey breaks and Orbital edits before heading over to the Holts for Nia

Other surprises, Brittany Howard on WH, just incredible and Lankum at The Park, mesmerising live and far better than listening to them on Radio Six. Not on my list but an absolute highlight... Watching it back on the Beeb, I’m kicking myself for not just wandering off on my own to see them.

I love a solo ramble for a few hours at least once every Glasto. The Mrs and her mates choice of Cyndi Lauper and Keane being option B. So good, absolutely bonkers. We were at Cindi and left because she was awful. These had been on our 'maybe' list and so made our way to The Park. Delighted with our decision. Also got to meet Annie Mac doing her Irish meet up at the same time. A win-win.
ourkid1984
Just remembered that we stumbled upon the Bandstand on I think the Thursday, pretty late, there was a Lithuanian folk band and were great fun. Don't know their name though.

Also stumbled upon a couple of Circus Field performers, dressed up as Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballe, miming along to Barcelona... at midnight-ish on the Saturday night... in the stream under the bridge at the south Circus exit. They were performing it in a little boat, with candles all around... a cool moment for the 20 of us watching - you actually had to look over the bridge to see them, so wasn't intended for a huge audience.

CanWeRest
I'm not saying this is good or bad, but did anyone notice how much more professional the stewards were at Strummerville? I remember in the past they were off their nuts, hugging people randomly, and were generally more of a liability than helpful (which was great entertainment, and I never personally saw it as a problem). But this year, when I was there at least, they seemed older, wiser, and very professional. Maybe someone realised "wait a minute, this set of staff are in charge of fire" lol
Robo97
Caught the last 45 mins of The Feeling at Avalon, they were great and a nice touch also bringing out Sophie Elis Baxter to finish!
