Saturday and Sunday line up is pretty great! Friday is not great at all though..

I’m not sure there’s many folk who’ll be rushing for a weekend ticket. Wild line up. 
 

That Saturday is cracking though. 
 

Very surprised that Fender is about and they didn’t/couldn’t book him. Wonder if he was meant to be Sunday

KoL ain't supporting anybody. And I still think Fender sees three dates in Newcastle as covering things.

Gracie Abrams is huge on tiktok & instagram . 40 mil monthly listeners . Quite a strong booking!

The problem is the line up is so random. I quite like Saturday / Sunday but it is a wild mix of acts. Some good bookings in there but it’s just all a bit over the place

I remember Geoff Ellis said in an interview a few years ago that they do this on purpose to split ticket sales across multiple days so they always have indie, rock, pop, dance. Which makes sense from a ticket sale perspective but makes it worse for the fans.

Some of these acts like the script, twin Atlantic and the kooks just seem to cycle the lineup every 2/3 years without ever doing anything of note to warrant a return. I like all 3 of those but at what point is it too much

The Script haven't played since 2017. The Kooks always seem to be on the same sort of slot though. Think this is their fourth go.

 

This is only Twin Atlantic's second go too. 

 

Only thing that made The Script predictable was previous history from T in the Park.

The Saturday looks good at least. The Friday and Sunday are an absolute calamity though. 

 

No idea who books this festival but they have had an absolute shocker here.

Wow, Saturday aside that just makes other festivals like Victorious or the Come Together gigs looks stronger, they've surely had some drop outs or couldn't agree terms with a few they were after. I don't see many clamouring for Snow Patrol or 50 Cent as a headliner in 2024-25

Underworld, Wunderhorse and Kooks all have some decent selling power I reckon

Trnsmt is so weird, they had Courteeners and George Ezra headline then sub the next time they played, then they do the reverse with Snow Patrol. Bizarre.

I do find it bizarre that DF haven't booked Sam Fender, Olivia Rodrigo, Noah Kahan or KoL for a big Scotland show. Four massive names and you got none?

More expensive than anyone on this lineup though.

 

TRNSMT sells well with recycled indie bands and is only like 50k, so theres little point in splashing out i think

This is the predicament with TRNSMT now. They have a monopoly in Scotland. DF have even cancelled Connect which would’ve suited a few of these acts more. They don’t need to fork out on big acts because they know they’ll sell tickets on being the only large Scottish festival.

Being on the same weekend as NOS Alive, Bilbao BBK and Mad Cool may not have helped.

Still got Summer Sessions to announce, can see atleast KoL playing that around Victorious fest time
