Yeah, I vaguely remember that (always have your Google maps app on, peeps). I definitely remember actually seeing them at West Holts too, so they must have played a fair few gigs there over the years. 

 

I really don't like the idea of them still being called Toots and the Maytals though. Just The Maytals would be better (and I think they have toured as just The Maytals in the past).

Got the album on this morning Calgon.  Hot diggity daffodils, would be all over a WH set. Giving serious consideration to a rare London jaunt in Jan to see her at the Palladium.

I'd love to see Kano back, but apparently he doesn't want to until he has new material, which seems to have taken a backseat to his acting recently.

He does feel like a bit of a tap in this year.

 

As to the other headliners its a bit of a blank canvas as far as I can tell.

I’d also be unsurprised to see Kano headline WH this year. Was he rewarded for contributing to the live event in 2021? I don’t remember. Anyway, this is a bit old now but still one of the best to ever appear in this slot.

He's better than most I feel around. I wouldn't watch him unless I had nothing on but it's definitely not a dud. He gives me a lot of Eminem vibes which is probably why I can take to him.

More than that he's one of the small-ish group that was on the 2020 bill and hasn't appeared at a subsequent festival.

He did guest with Wretch 32 during Ghetts’s set at the Park this year, so he’s obviously still willing to put in some effort for the festival. That’s a good sign.

I was looking forward to seeing them. I think they were swapped out at a lateish stage to make space for 47Soul and some Palestinian representation. Wouldn't surprise me at all if they were told they'd be invited back next year to make up for it.
