I'm hoping he’s managed to book deftones but I’d actually rather they do an actual UK tour. Otherwise I think it’s Alexisonfire and would love Knocked Loose.

Just been pointed out that in the announcement post, ‘typo’ is spelt ‘tyypo’. Definitely not an accident. Could mean biffy?

The only scenario where I could see Biffy at 2000Trees is if they did a special throwback set consisting of the first 3 albums like their upcoming shows at Barrowlands and Shepherds Bush. I just think they’re too big for a typical headline set.

James has said this is exactly the kind of thing that was suggested by Simon himself to get them to Trees.

I think a special Biffy set could happen. They’re doing a few European festivals in late June, I can’t imagine them doing Download again so soon.

 

So…maybe the stars are aligning for an early albums headline set.

I was just thinking they’ve got a new album, played Slam Dunk and Download the last 2 years, don’t suit R&L anymore and highly doubt they’d be the Gunnersbury show, at a potential Knotfest or a potential LP BST show so what’s left, trees.

James raved about how much fun he had watching them at Download after having no expectations going in so wouldn't be surprised if they were announced. I dunno if they'd think 20k was too small though.

Announcing 5 headliners on October 24th.

Typically get another big announcement January, then March for most the rest, but they're coming out the gates unusually strongly this year

Because they'd be willing to splurge on Deftones. Letlive were never a huge ticket seller over here.
