Latitude first timer - a few questions

Hello. We're doing Latitude for the first time and I have some questions... Have been to Glastonbury about 15 times though so any comparisons to that for context would be appreciated.

Arrival - how is it to arrive on site? Are there busy times, lots of traffic? Are we able to arrive early hours to beat the rush? Are there big queues to get into the campsites? My preference is to get there early on Thursday, should we look to get there hours before gates open or a short while before/after?

Family camping is what we've got, how busy does it get? We have a friend arriving Thursday evening, will we need to pitch their tent for them to secure the spot or is space not an issue?

Showers - our youngest is a filthy kid and he does suffer from eczema, too, so a daily shower would be good for him, are showers easily available?

Cheers!

There's really only one road in and out of the festival, so expect queues. Family camping has showers, again there will be queues.

Latitude is much, much smaller than Glastonbury and you'll get sound bleed from the main stage - especially if you're at the comedy arena.

Food is great and varied, toilets (portaloos) tend to be cleaned frequently.

Have a great time.

There aren’t big queues to get in so no point getting there particularly early. There is always space in family camping but the later you get there the closer the space is to the stages, so it’s noisier. It does fill up during the day Thursday so if you want to be together best to put their tent up too. They will find space later just possibly not with you. Still space on Friday too.

Early at Glastonbury is a lot earlier than early at Latitude - lunchtime on Thursday is plenty early enough. Then you'll be parked fairly close to the entrance and will have the pick of the family field (which is a lot less of. Family field has flush toilets and showers, though you have to time it to avoid a queue for the shower.

the signs direct you north up the A12 which is where most of the traffic comes from.  If  you can arrange it so you arrive south down the A145 you'll arrive at the site without the queue - or at least it worked for me last time I drove.
