I would like to see a curve ball again. Def Leopard/ Motley Crue are not my thing but the sea of black shirts proved you can book left field acts and sell tickets. Muse would be great but possibly too big.

Biffy are my absolute favourite band but I’m minded to agree with you here. I do think their material is Download friendly (I mean, it’s not exactly pop rock) and there’s an argument that they’re one of few bands that have truly gone from the bottom of the bill to the top, but it seems most average Download punters are not that bothered by them (and I don’t know why, they’re class tbh). I don’t think they’re much different to the QOTSA booking mind you, but even QOTSA got a fairly healthy crowd. -

It’s possible. If LP have only one headline show in UK, they will not play Download, but other fests are possible. Also Iron Maiden doing Eurockeennes fest in France, not Hellfest. So everything’s possible -
ANOHNI singing Lou Reed songs at the Southbank centre in November... Sounds magical but definitely on the spenny side... ANOHNI | EFG London Jazz Festival
