If its the Manics which i think is another rumour - Noel is suddenly gonna look like a very ordinary guitarist

You're not wrong as such, but I don't think anyone (Noel included) has ever painted him as anything other than that? It'd be like me suddenly getting exposed for my lack of skill at ballroom dancing

They did 1985 at Glastonbury last year which was a nice surprise!

Plus the Manics have supported them beforehand.  They were on at Maine Road.

I'd argue there was nothing to prove at Maine Road. With the expectation of both a comeback and the poor rollout of prices, there may well be something to prove here.

He always does, and TBF don’t think he claims to be much else (with a nod to that glorious middle eight on Live Forever. I don’t care whether it’s technically great or whatever it sounds amazing)

No dynamic pricing outside their UK gigs, I believe. Kinda sucks for UK folk who were hit by it when nobody else will be.

I'll be trying for that Halloween gig in Melbourne. Pre-sale is next Monday, then main sale on Tuesday.

No word on ticket prices yet.

For the Aussie cohort - they're also going to announce 1st and 4th November (cup day) for Melbourne.  Not sure about Sydney dates but there will be more than 1 date there too.

We went into the ballot for the UK in August using 6 email addresses and only 2 of us got an email to confirm entry and that took 24-36 hours. Of those 2 entries 1 got a code, the other 4 got nothing - no confirmation even.  We signed up again today and all got the confirmation emails within a few minutes.  Not sure if that's an indicator of less interest here or improvements to the system but hopefully we won't be sat in a Ticketmaster queue for hours.

Three Melbourne dates? More than I expected - not that I don't think they'll shift.
