I would argue most of these acts are about making as much money as possible, easy for them to act ignorant and blame the faceless corporation.

One thing worth noting is that if an artist ever sells out a show in minutes, or even days... they haven't made as much money as possible from it. By definition, they could have charged more.

Doesn't mean they weren't trying to make the most money possible, they may well have got it wrong. But I also suspect with the likes of Oasis they want the PR to be "sold out in minutes" not "still available weeks later", even if those tickets eventually go at a higher price than they would have on the day.

A good example of this was the London Olympics.  Tickets for the big events were priced at up to £700 a seat.  They took many months to sell out, but sell out they did.

Problem is at this level everything becomes an elitist event or at worse people absolutely skinting themselves to be able to attend.

On the Oasis pricing I was was not personally prepared to pay £150, well, £300 as 15 year old Daughter was the one wanting to go.  Now the dynamic pricing has kicked in people will be thinking £150 is a bargain !!

It's possible to ponder if this could be something to consider doing for shows like this going forward. Although how easy that is to divvy it also up between See, G&T & TM is another query.

Tbf a Knebworth 2026 show makes sense but yeah, I wouldn't imagine it'll be announced until after these shows. They presumably would like to know if they'd be able to tolerate being with one another for another year before committing to extending their commitments.

Fontaines have done an interview about the oasis reunion, unless they’re playing a massive bluff it sounds like they won’t be supporting oasis

Villanelle one of the supports for next year? Most of the tabloids are quoting this as fact, won't link to them as they're all clickbait sites but seems pretty likely.

the "Twisted Wheel" slot from the last Heaton Park gigs in 09. Fair to say they didn't get anywhere based on that...
