You can't hold 70,000 for gigs at Marvel Stadium, can you? Thought it was only about 60,000 in max configuration. (Which in itself, I thought was weird because I did think you'd be able to go higher, at a glance.)

Depends on the configuration, I guess. Adele squeezed in over 77,000 for a single show back in 2017. The internet says about 53k for sports matches, and up to 70k for concerts and events.

The MCG can hold 100,000, making it the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere. Taylor did three sold out nights on the trot there, because of course she did.

Just had an email for the pre-sale for the additional Melbourne show.

What is the expected success rate when using the pre-sale? Do people generally get the tickets they want?

I'm assuming we should pretty much be guaranteed to be able to get some tickets, but maybe not the ones we would prefer?

I also noticed in the rules that there is a huge fine if anyone resells a ticket at more than a 10% increase on the face value.

First time looking at buying tickets in Australia.

Can only give you my experience of the first UK pre sale and getting through within half an hour!

Really like Ashcroft and he has been brilliant every time i've see him. Was hoping they'd of got an up and coming/younger band to open but its not the worst by any means.

I think its about creating the atmosphere earlier on. From what I saw at Malta, the Oasis crowd both young and old don't like Blossoms, who were the main rumour, they just chatted through the entire set. It was like being in a bar, and I doubt it'd be different for other newer acts. At least we know there are a couple of hits literally everybody knows with Ashcroft.

But my guess is the likes of Kasabian, Courteeners and Blossoms will miss out on money from playing festivals if they joined the whole tour, as it crosses over with so many over July and August. Especially given they can all headline at some of them to different extents so would struggle with the proximity clauses in the contracts.

I'd still expect someone like The K's, Royston Club etc to actually open the day, perhaps a rotation of that type, as there's enough time for 3 supports.

With gates being 5pm at most shows I’d image it would be something like:

6pm-7pm: Cast

7:30-8:30: Richard Ashcroft

9:00-11:00: Oasis

possibly space for someone at 5pm but usually there never a band starting when gates open.

Cast, if it is them, won't get an hour as second support and the curfew will be 10.30pm at the very latest -- earlier for Sunday gigs.

When I joined there were 4000 people in front of me, dropped by 50 or so for the first few minutes but then suddenly shot down and I was in by 2.08. Then took a further 20 mins to actually get the tickets due to the yellow box keep coming up. So all in all not a bad experience for me.

This is hilarious, properly hilarious. These arguments are way better than any of their music IMO.

Liam (after watching some surfing in Ireland) on X:

A new love and respect for surfers been watching some mad f**kers doing there thing and there ANIMALS as in HARDCORE LG x

Noel's response:

surfing is for idiots... skateboarding is for f**king little idiots. Skateboarders and surfers can go f**k themselves. Surfers, by their very definition, are arseholes.
