I get what you mean, given how much the identity he's pursuing got wrapped up in football tribalism, but you'd think the prestige of doing a huge London stadium show would outweigh that.

 

... either that or he ends booking the non-football venue Twickenham aka London's most out of the way stadium gig venue possible to book.

They did BBC Radio 2 in Hyde Park, that was Jeff Lynne's big return after Chris Evans started campaigning for it.

I think it was indeed. ELO seems a very strong contender to me. Cannot believe they wouldn't have a crack at it, especially with it being the last time.

he apparently doesn't actually care that much and is using it a lot for marketing

 

Could easily just play at the emirates or wherever, really don't think anyone would bat an eyelid
