PDomingos
I wonder if the missing headliner was foo fighters. there are rumors that they cancelled the entire summer tour in europe. Perhaps Nos Alive was counting on FF and now have to get some alternative Edited 10 hours ago by PDomingos

It wasn't a rumor, it was the director of Hellfest who came out to say that FF canceled the tour.
just_one
Yeah at this point its pretty clear FF were headlining several festivals in Europe including Hellfest and NOS Alive. That being said the FF probably cancelled the tour when they cancelled the US shows they had this year after the news about Grohl affair came out and i think Covoes had enough time to come up with some decent headliner. Pinkpop too, who clearly booked Muse instead. Sadly, Muse doen't seem to be touring around the NOS/Mad Cool weekend.

just_one
after muse not selling very well in 2019 i dont think Covoes will book them at NOS but what more can be headlining if not Muse or Green Day? i dont think neither of them are coming to be honest Edited 9 hours ago by just_one
St Jimmy
Sh1t I would love to see FF live at Nos, in 2022 at Rock in Rio Lisboa they canceled because Taylor passed away and Muse replaced them, I got a refund for the ticket because I'm not a big fan of Muse. It's sad to hear that, FF would be simply amazing and again they're not coming bc of something bigger happened

PDomingos
isn't Cure going on tour to promote the last album? it would be a great headliner Or perhaps Nos Alive are thinking a co-headliner with 2 smaller acts

TheNewUnion
If you lose Foo Fighters then it's a big job to try to fill those shoes as a headliner. Not everyone's cup of tea but a proper "big hitter" when it comes to ticket sales. I haven't seen anyone else on the road next summer who will shift tickets. Muse are decent and I wouldn't mind seeing them again, but I can't see them selling out. I simply cannot think of anyone else who is knocking about who could shift Pearl Jam volumes of tickets. Vanbang
Right now I would take any few from AC/DC, Sam Fender, Gorillaz, New Order, Bloc Party, Fontaines DC, IDLES (again), The Cure, Placebo, The war on drugs, Paramore, Tame Impala, Editors, Sterophonics, Paramore, Hozier, Pulp, Prodigy A few of the above and we are back on track 🤩
TrevorMarco
I don't know, the person managing Mad Cool's Instagram is replying to several comments from people asking for Linkin Park. If I had to guess, I'd say they'll be confirmed for both Mad Cool and Nos Alive.

It's practically impossible for Linkin Park to do Madcool and NOS Alive, they play 8 and 9th in Germany, and 11th in Paris, I don't think they will do 4 nights in a row with travels. Unless Madcool changes their festival dates and brings Linkin Park in the next week.

St Jimmy
Well so there's no band big enough for the next year. Idk, Green day have a perfect schedule for Nos, I know they aren't doing Spain/Mad cool but in the absence of good names couldn't Alvaro and his big team convince them $$ to be the big name of the festival? I mean it could be expensive but is worse if you don't sell your tickets, at least with a great band you recover the money you invest

I know that, but isn't it better (and I'm going to use fake numbers here just to make my point) Isn't it better to spend 10€ on a band and make 20€ profit on ticket sales than to spend only 5€ on a band and make only 10€ profit? If KoL isn't selling well and all the bands that could sell tickets aren't available, maybe they can make this exception, you have to spend money to make money

They hadn't planned two days in a row in the entire tour (until the Frankfurt extra double date, but then there will be two days tilll Paris) and no way they are doing 5 shows in 4 days, plus the KOL day. It's Muse for the 11th (announced along with Mad Cool) or still a missing spot. Edited 3 hours ago by Joshua Homme
