Thommo4
Im still hoping for Alanis Morisette, but they are dragging this out, either waiting for someone to confirm or they are struggling to attract acts. Mumford & Sons in the tent would be good, new album out.
Chapple12345
More names tomorrow at 10am! Presumably day splits too as day tickets are going on sale then too
Miyn
Maribou State have got the 25th (Friday) listed on their website https://mariboustate.com/pages/live, and their other dates line up with the days they're playing + listed on the Latitude website. Was literally about to post that they're surely the tent headliner, but checked Latitude's website and they're listed as being on the Obelisk which is bizarre! Maribou State into Basement Jaxx was about to be one of the best 1-2's in years, with another tent headliner booking that they've smashed. Not sure what the reasoning behind putting them on the main stage. The tent would be brilliant for them, but the atmosphere on the Obelisk might be quite muted. Here's the other of the stage / day splits as given on the website, or you can check them out for yourself here: https://www.latitudefestival.com/artists Clean Bandit - Obelisk - Saturday Public Service Broadcasting - Second Stage - Saturday Sigrid - Second Stage - Friday
Swiss Tony
I’ll add Skunk Anansie to my previous list. New album and touring.

I could be wrong but aren't Basement Jaxx closing the Obelisk Friday too? Judging by that it's going Maribou State - Sting - Basement Jaxx on the Obelisk and then Sigrid headlining the tent then? That isn't really what I expected I've seen a few people mentioning Franz Ferdinand who would be a great shout, especially as a tent headliner On 1/29/2025 at 7:23 PM, Swiss Tony said: I’ll add Skunk Anansie to my previous list. Swiss Tony
So Alison Moyet as predicted. Kaiser Chiefs are a dreadful band, very disappointing. Air will OK. Lambrini Girls and Sprints have saved the festival for me. Edited January 30 by Swiss Tony
cdm22
£300+ for a sea of mostly beige once again? Nope 😁 I used to love Latitude festival.
Peetle
I was very lukewarm about Latitude this year, and plans may still mean we don't go. But Feeder, Public Service Broadcasting, Air, Kaiser Chiefs (who are good fun live) make it. Other members of the family will enjoy Elbow and Alison Moyet.. She's just sent me that poster and asked 'Has any other festival lost it's identity since Covid in the way Lattitude has?' She's about my only basis for it but it seems like they really have lost their core audience, or that identity of being a more alternative festival. Swiss Tony
If I look close at the line up there's plenty we'll go and see, but overall a bit disappointing for what they're charging for a ticket these days. Have seen Kaisers a couple of times and not my cup of tea. Hopefully a few more decent acts to follow.
PDAD
Hmmm... not awful, not great. There's plenty I will enjoy, but nothing at all I'd consider 'must see'. There's normally 2 or 3 names lower down the line-up that really stand out to me as 'must sees' - Waxahatchee and CMAT last year for example. This year... not so much. That all said, it will be my first year going with my 1 year old so not having concrete plans but having plenty on I wouldn't mind catching … is selfishly, kind of ideal! PDAD
So looking something like this atm... working on the basis there's normally about 7 acts a day on both the top 2 stages, we should have 6 left on Obelisk and 4 left on 2nd stage plus of course most of Sunrise bar the Fri and Sun headliners. Friday: Obelisk: Basement Jaxx (closing) / Sting / Maribou State / Scouting for Girls 2nd Stage: Sigrid / Feeder / Alessi Rose / SPRINTS / The Royston Club / The Kiffness Sunrise: Corto.alto Saturday: Obelisk: Fatboy Slim / Kaiser Chiefs / Clean Bandit / Example / Kingfishr / MRCY 2nd Stage: Leon Bridges / Public Service Broadcasting / Amble / Sorry / NOFUN! Sunday: Obelisk: Snow Patrol / Elbow / Alison Moyet / Buena Vista All Stars / Infinity Song 2nd Stage: Air / Palace / Pale Waves / Lapsley / The War and Treaty / Hamish Hawk Sunrise: Lambrini Girls

Miyn
Weirdly, the Latitude website implies that Basement Jaxx are on before Sting. "Maribou State, followed by a euphoric return to the live stage from Basement Jaxx." https://www.latitudefestival.com/news/your-day-splits-and-day-tickets-have-arrived/ Looking back at when they were announced, Latitude never said they were playing a closing set, although other sites including eFests had it in their release. https://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/24/postheadliner-set-on-main-obelisk-stage-will-be-first-live-show-in-10-years.shtml The announcement has this line which made me laugh. "Then prepare for an extraordinarily high-energy run from Example, Clean Bandit, Kaiser Chiefs" But overall I'm reasonably happy with the additions. I think they've done a decent job. Just some general thoughts on the line up: They could have got Elbow to headline. They've been playing the Pyramid at Glastonbury for years and 'One Day Like This' and 'Grounds for Divorce' are big enough tunes to give them a mammoth crowd. They headlined in 2012, and if anything they've only got bigger since. Snow Patrol headlining again is lazy, but impressed they got Elbow to sub. Air headlining the tent on Sunday looks good, recent tour of them playing 'Moon Safari' got rave reviews including a 5 star from the Guardian, and I've seen a lot of hype for them online. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2024/mar/25/air-review-a-wild-jawdropping-widescreen-extravaganza Getting one of Basement Jaxx's first UK festival gig in a decade is also a great booking. Been watching clips of them since they announced their comeback and I really hope I can catch them this summer, wasn't that fussed about them before but they look great. This video of them playing at Kendal Calling is great, the bit at the end about being in it together, living your life and power to the people, while the Gorilla on stage is going mental is just f**king brilliant. Maribou State are great as well. Would have been cool to get them in the tent, but them into Basement Jaxx might be the best 1-2 since I've been going to Latitude. I recommend listening to them if you've never given them a go before. I don't listen to a huge amount of dance music, but they're basically a live band with guest vocalists usually and are on the more chilled side of things. Sigrid closing the tent on Friday is cool, must be a while since they've had a pop act headline the tent. Will give a nice alternative to Sting, and something a bit more upbeat after Basement Jaxx. I could be swayed either way on Leon Bridges or Fatboy Slim. Despite going to Glastonbury 4 times, I've never seen Norman live or DJ so wouldn't be against seeing him. I always think the atmosphere for a headliner in the tent is amazing, so could easily be persuaded to watch Leon Bridges instead. I'm not sure if I'll be there this year. Would love to, but as a student having to travel from Manchester, it's a long way and a lot of money. Will probably explore a few options, like volunteering with Oxfam or something, as that obviously reduces the cost quite a bit. I didn't go last year and although the line up wasn't amazing I did miss it a bit. It's a great festival and I still think it's the closest thing you get to the vibe at Glastonbury on the music days, around the main stages.
Chapple12345
Expanding on @PDAD work I've worked out how many acts we can expect each day Obelisk Friday has 3 slots left Saturday has 1 slot yet Sunday has 2 slots left, including the Sunday midday slot Tent Friday has 1 slot left Saturday has 2 slots left Sunday has 1 slot left Other than Friday and Sunday headliners there's still the full Sunrise and Alcove lineups to be added too
