Thank you so much! I would love to do a form of volunteering (already signed up with water aid etc.) Who manages the gates? Ive worked at like 10 different festivals before (volunteering and not) but couldn't work it out!

The gates and ticket checking are Oxfam and wristbanding at the gates is Festaff.

Note the format of the URL being samfender.seetickets.com.  It's the first time I've seen any other Seetickets sale use the same domain format as the Glasto sale....

🤔

Were you required to log into your See Tickets account before joining the queue?

If it has changed to a queue system any thoughts on when we might know ? Wasn’t the sam fender sale just dropped in with no notice ?

Without any official announcement, or updating of the wording on the ticket buying info, then we may not know until the sale goes live tbh.  Certainly from the front page the Sam Fender URLs for each venue only linked to the actual ticket buying page, and it wasn't until you hit the link that it auto-redirected into the queuing system.  It's possible therefore that the same could occur for the Glastonbury sale.

The wording of the ticket buying info is also possibly loose enough to cover the change as is, and a bit of a stretch in that respect wouldn't be unusual for Seetickets tbh.

Unless we get some good inside info.....

I’d think the festival rather than see would let people know it’s kind of doing the right thing by customers . Although either way they will still sell out which is the ultimate aim

I'd like to think any change to the process would be publicised, and the absence of such is one thing that still has me thinking it might not happen.  True that GFL simply want to sell the tickets but they remain acutely aware of bad press around the process, especially in the wake of the Oasis shambles, and I'd guess would want to avoid criticism wherever they could.

But then criticism will come whatever . There’s people getting kicked out of these sales so heaven knows what’ll happen with the numbers trying for Glastonbury . How many of us will be assumed we are bots 😞

one thing I have noticed now that the ticket sale page has been updated with the new header is that you can't do the refresh more than 60 times in a minute to force the dreaded 20 second refresh holding page....

Afraid not.....

so what was the benefit of forcing the refresh holding page?

"In a few seconds" so no countdown. Wonder if they're expecting people to wait for that instead of refreshing constantly?

Interesting....I'd not noticed that.  Unfortunately my screenshot cut off the message top right which may have said how long the interval was.  If I can get it to fire again I'll check.
