Ticket tips and Tricks for 2025 festival

Our Group got 18 tickets today, following the 4 on Thursday.

One mate is in Nepal in the middle of a climb up Everest, and she got in by 09:12

I got nowhere with 5 separate devices all on different IP's - Fortunately a pal who had coach tickets got through for our six.

We had a friend entering our details as it sold out so no luck this time but quite a few of our groups were lucky. Silver lining is I can now book a festival in Croatia that goes on sale next week and hopefully get tickets in the resale. Well done to everyone that had success today

I've spoke to someone who managed to buy 54 tickets.

To be fair they had 80 computers at their office trying and got on with two of them, however the clicking back and getting more is not on imo.

80 computers is one thing -- there's a risk of being flagged as bots due to coming from a single IP address but if you work for a large enough corporation then it would be difficult for the queue system to know if there are 80 actual people each trying once or if it's one person using 80 computers. This is the way this system will be gamed now.

But if going back and buying more tickets actually worked and people were able to purchase more than 6 tickets per queue ID then they absolutely need to close that sh*t down.

The only way to improve your chances is to have 10's, maybe 100's of peeps all trying, each with at least 2 unique IP's, say lappy / phone. This does of course does still favour the organised to a certain extent, as well as those with many friends who want to go. Little can be done about that however without reducing groups sizes.

If it were indeed possible to step back (the official line is that this should not be able to happen), then that is a MASSIVE flaw in the system that will only return us to the days of people touting their sessions online for 100's, even 1000's of people prepared to risk / pay and is a gift to all the commercial queue squatters.

This doesn’t surprise me. The phone signal is amazing at Base Camp (I was there in 2014). They have a dedicated mast for the expeditions.

I got some in 2014 on a flight from Australia using Singapore Airlines WIFI.

Conversely, I had three independent devices on Thursday and this morning and never got more than two bars. 😂

Main thing I think I've learned from Thursday and today is that if you're still on 2 progress bars after the first 5 minutes or so* of the sale, then you're almost certainly not going to get anywhere near the booking page, so at least that'll help manage expectations in the future; we'll already know we're screwed long before it sells out.

*On my phone, the bars started creeping up from about 7 or 8 minutes past 9, but only got to just over half way before sell out.

If only we’d know that’s what we needed to do 😂 Right, next time …

if they know the back button exploit works they have 2 years to patch it up. Like I said, Coachella had the same thing and it took a few years to eliminate it. But with the fallow coming up then they have more time to figure jt out.

and its not as if they dont go scour forums to see what is happening and such. Theyre not stupid.

Have max 2 tickets per transaction - it will impact the Pennards Sofa Squatters and make folks more open to mixing with strangers !

i mean if it was 2 max then the sale will easily last longer. 6 max means only 20,000 people get a shot at buying. Why not let it be 60,000.

My overall thought or the system is and only fault I can really find is that once you are through and completed, that should be you done and not be able to go back. If your mate then gets through on a different device then that's someone else trying but that's the fair way to me. I know going back doesn't work for all but for who it does.

But I've got to angst or anything towards it. The update on the screen below was way better than pressing F5 for ages after it being sold out without knowing.

I forgot it will be a fallow year in 2026!

Will say to anyone who feels down, there are plenty of other festivals to try and watching the Beeb’s coverage isn’t all bad.

Also, try to ignore the slew of new people on here who all miraculously get lots of tickets! Let them have their fun.

Kinda wish they'd just tell you that:

"Ok, you are 600,000th in the queue. It ain't happening"

Or just a laughing Micheal Eavis face pops up and then the page kicks you out.

stressful as hell, got through to the registrations page and entered details 10 times, kept timing out. got a sold out message but was still on the registration page. entered my details and got a "tickets have already been purchased message" and it turns out a friend had managed to buy!

no confirmation email yet but money taken and had a booking reference page etc, should be fine right!
