what was the cost of it ? ive seen 50 quid mentioned in some places ( I will never do it )

honestly nothing, he’s someone one of our group went to uni with! he just seems to do it for free for people he knows, friends of friends full groups of 6 etc! last year he got through for us and she gave him her card details and then we had them!

would of been our 8th year next year so we were a bit on the fence about going again but thought we’d try the new system, but didn’t care enough to use him again! (only used unsavoury methods happening last year, other 6 years legit f5ing aha)

one hack taken from Reddit:

1 - download Firefox 2 - install the Firefox Multi-Account Containers add-on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/multi-account-containers/ 3 - before the sale on Sunday, manage your containers (use this link within Firefox: about:preferences#containers, or right click the new tab button and then manage containers) and set up a f**king lot of them, I would go for 100 (tech advice from a very knowledgeable person is that 200 is likely to be where you might get flagged as a bot, so anything below that should be safe) 4 - again, before the sale, open a new tab in every single one of your 100 containers (right click the new tab button at the top of Firefox and then choose a new container each time) 5 - open the Glastonbury ticket link in every single one of your open containers - https://glastonbury.seetickets.com/ 6 - as you paste the link in, just quickly check that your queue ID is different in every container (it should be, but no harm in being safe) 7 - when the sale starts, ctrl+tab through your different open containers constantly, noting which of your containers are nearly through, and then buy tickets when you get through!!!! I had exactly 100 containers open and 3 of them got to the front of the queue in time to buy tickets. There are roughly six times as many tickets on sale on Sunday, so ratio might be better, but just to give you an idea of the scale needed to make it work today. Once you have put registration details in, it IS safe to refresh if it tells you tickets are sold out. It may pop up asking you to confirm form resend (or similar), say yes, that is safe to do and it saves you having to re-input all the reg numbers for your group

Still think the new system is fairer?

like I said, coachella onsales had its exploits using the same system before fixes happened and became a sorta non issue with demand anyway. Anyone thinking this made it more even of a playing field is lying to themselves. SEE wont ever catch up to the ticketmaster and axs' of the world when it comes to security. You get what you pay for. We now have our new archaic system that the few will figure out and thatll be that. Even if it was a ballot theres no way it wont be exploited. You think fake profiles wont exist  or something? And obviously people will pay a bot syndicate to get tickets now. Its over.

Just means it would be full of kids. I do think holding the sale at 4-37am on the Sunday would be fairest.

Hey

I'm 72 and it'd q overnight for a ticket. As it is last year I had a ticket, 2023, I q'd overnight at Gate D just to get a good camping spot 😂

I wonder how many of these actually managed to deliver a successful outcome and what happened if they didn’t? Also, where do people find stuff like this in the first place? 🤣

There have been some people on here talking about it in a way where they 'know'  - some read like touting for business.

Honestly, would you trust a total stranger who wants money to let you ina  adoor with the promise of giving you something that may or may not cost you more money to get?

Ah yeah, that was my intrigue. And I guess I’ll never know but I wondered how many people have paid for a service, how much it cost them and what the total success rate was and then also what happened if you didn’t get in the door.

Probably already been said.

16 profiles chromes all with individual ID’s.

closed them off when 1/2 got up to half way in the queue. Highly suggest you all do that in resale! Was able to get a group of six with this, and when the second one got to the near end it said sold out.

4 private bowsers on safari mobile. 1 zipped to the front. Was able to buy my personal 6

There’s plenty of alternative culture events out there, try some of the smaller festivals

Absolutely, and we do anyway.

Moreso than the lack of tickets this year, Its just you want the culture of something as important as Glastonbury to remain and not get continually watered down

Yeah I’m with you, sadly I think we’re way past the point of no return.

1995 - I walked into HMV in Oxford Street the week before and got one for 75 quid as did a mate. We went down 5 in the car 3 jumped the fence. Oh and Oasis were playing and it was hot one ! Everything before the internet was better. Insert something about Spangles.

One year in the nineties (I don't remember which) I bought a ticket from a classified ad in the Leicester Mercury. A young girl had bought it but when her mother found out she forbade her from going so she had to sell it 😄

Unsure if it’s been asked already but what number of tickets roughly are up for grabs in the resale? My first year was last year and failed today ☹️ does take the sting off it at least knowing iv been though!

They don't normally say, but it's a low number.

Managed to secure 4 tickets, without any tech hacks or whatever.

The device that got through was a iPhone, everything else was moving at different paces some forever stuck at 2 bars.

Do I think there will ever exist a solution that suits everyone? No. You’ll always get people who don’t get a ticket, you’ll always get first timers missing out and people who have been a lot. We didn’t get tickets last year but got them this year.

I would also say the same if I didn’t have a ticket. It’s a lottery.

That’s exactly how we got tickets. The I phone bars moved steadily towards the booking page whilst the pc on Wi-Fi was stuck on the two bars
