Ticket tips and Tricks for 2025 festival

None of my group got any. One got close but the sold out notice came just when he did.

Well done to all those that got them. I'm quite hopeful that lots of new people will get to experience this amazing festival next year. Glastonbury should be for all not the same 150k every year.

Stuck on 5 glastos. Feels like I'm destined to remain there too.

I know statistically getting tickets is unlikely but having sat and still being at 2 bars feels a lot more painful than refreshing and getting nowhere

I feel the opposite tbh.

I feel like the years I was frantically F5ing were more painful.

This was out of my hands.

hate this new system, it doesnt reward the more dedicated people, you could just decide to open the lage at 8.59 and leave it, at least with the old system, those who were dedicated enough to sit by the laptop and constantly refresh were rewarded (although this looksl ike the 3rd festival in a row ive missed out so not much reward on either system for me latley)

This, in a nutshell.

I was only trying for a friend this year, but rewarding the most passive user doesn't feel like the best option.

I always seemed to get rewarded in the days when it took a while to sell out, pretty much every year I managed to get tickets it was always in the last 30 mins after refreshing for 4-6 hours.

Nobody is passive really though. Everyone registers and expresses an interest in going. everyone gets up early to get their place in the queue before it opens. Randomly hitting F5 when a space opens up is no more worthy, at least this system stops it bloody crashing when you do get in and try to pay for tickets. I say this as someone who didn't get tickets this morning, never got past 12 bars...typically, our other core group got them (seems like we are taking it in turns each year!). Primavera for me next year I think!

So for future sales, my read on the situation is that if you don't start moving almost immediately, you've got very little chance of tickets. At 5.2 bars now, but the sold-out message will appear before I'm even at 10 bars. If you linger on 2 bars for the first 5-10 minutes of the sale, you might as well start looking at alternatives.

Exactly this. My wife and I had laptop and phone each - one laptop quickly moved to five bars (perhaps before 9:10) and it moved consistently from there (ultimately getting in).

One quirk I had: when getting in I got a "local tickets have sold out" message with a g19 in the URL! Very strange. Clicked back (which took to the queue) and forward (back to the g19 URL).

Eventually took a deep breath and removed the g19 from the URL (back to glastonbury.seetickets.com) and it took me to the booking page, and plain sailing from there, thank goodness (cc @SecretFish @Dillyblue @blobm).
