Y Not Festival 2025

So over a third of overall tickets sold during the presale even though every Y Not Facebook group has been full of complaints about lack of toilets and people getting really ill all week.

 

I went again this year and had a great time, even though the line up definitely disappointed for me compared to previous two years, and have already bought tickets for next year.

 

What are people thinking for next year?

Thursday- Blossoms

Friday- Courteeners

Saturday- Biffy Clyro

Sunday- Richard Ashcroft

 

Might be wishful thinking compared to this year.

Blossoms headlined the Sunday in 2022, so don't think they'd downgrade to Thursday headliner, and not sure I see Biffy as a Y Not act either.

I did wonder if some festivals might pull forward their lineup announcments this year. With so much competition and peoples disposable incomes falling, it makes sense to get your tickets sold as early as  possable.

Yeah, so much more competition with all the one day events. It's a trend I'm very much in favour of. Will probably mean Truck and Tramlines are in the way too. Kendal is almost 3 months earlier than last year.

Also prefer early announcements as it helps with making plans and gives more time to offload unwanted tickets if you change your mindafter the lineup announcement.

It will need to be a very special lineup for me to go as it clashes with my Oasis date. Still interested as it will give an indiction of who will be around in the summer and plenty of cross over with Truck and Victorious, which I usually attend.

Given that Kendal is out already, c. 3 months early, my guess would be this one, Tramlines, and possibly Truck, before the end of this month.

 

Kendal made their 'going off sale' announcement about a week before the lineup.

For comparison, last year's lineups were all in Jan...  Truck 22nd, Tramlines 23rd, YNot 24th, Kendal 25th

Truck also now trailing their lineup, so that's all 3 gearing up for announcements
