Just looked through who else is releasing albums in 2025.

olly Alexander , Lorde , central Cee , FKA twigs, Sharon Van Etten, Marina , sports team, harry styles , chapell roan , frank ocean, Lana del ray , lil nas X, raye, kesha , tate McRae , sza , Zara Larson.

Any of those could definitely get booked and most of them have played before

Sharon Etten is a UK festival exclusive for End of the road

Any updates about the 2025 location or potential line up?

I really want to get tickets for next year but not sure how I will manage as it won't come near me..

For the one in 2024, Luton was announced as host location in late January with first wave of names announced in March.

My assumption is it'll be on similar timelines. I'd also assume it'll be in a different part of the nation. But given 2023 was Scotland and 2022 was West Midlands, maybe somewhere else altogether again.

Be something if they gave it to Cornwall and finally gave acts a reason to go there.

Have they ever hosted it in south England before ?

They've been to the South West - it wasn't that long ago they were in Exeter.

Still working on the assumption / expectation that it'll be Bradford, unless there's reason to think otherwise.

Is there any way to get tickets if you don't live in the catchment area?

I've never been before but I reckon it could be pretty strong in 2025, which is why I'm trying to make sure I'm prepared in advance for the ticket sales etc.

I live near enough to Luton that this applied to me, but as I recall, there was a 3 stage ticket rollout - first of postcodes of the host venue itself, then of nearby places and then national. So for the one just gone, it was Luton first, then surrounding places like Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Bedford, etc, and then finally national.

If they are indeed headlining Glastonbury, then this - a month or so before - seems a logical place for The 1975 to get their sea legs back in. Former headliners only two years ago, so would assume they'd be billed as "special guests" and open things up instead.

Billing is always a little bit strange at these things.

What about Olivia Rodrigo?

Exclusives often don't count Big Weekend as a Festival, so that may not mean anything.

There is another factor at work though, namely that I have as much chance of being approached to play Radio 1 Big Weekend as Sharon Van Etten does. I'm not sure she'd even be on 6 Music Festival's radar.

Just gotta be in the queue when the tickets launch, they usually sell out. I’m on the south coast and managed to get two Sunday tickets for this year. My friend in north London didn’t have the same luck.

Edit: Back in 2015 it was also in Norwich, which is definitely the south despite what some people down here think.

I'd say Norwich is south but east enough that it doesn't feel like it.

But yeah I was thinking that this year's was likelier to be in the north or possibly in Wales, given it's been to Scotland recently too.

Norwich isn’t south, it’s further north than Birmingham! East definitely if we’re going to go for four compass points.
