Damm Snow patrol also there at this Romania festival

I swear if sziget miss getting Snow patrol and Empire of the Sun and we get someone not so great I’ll be pretty upset

It's a pretty safe bet that we will get at least one of them. Sziget and Summer Well always share a couple of bigger acts.

Snow patrol not at that grape festival in Slovakia ( well not yet ) so I’m leading more towards them now

but I still think there is a day empire of the sun could play at Sziget

6th , 7th or 11th all free for them

( empire of the sun )

Positive reactions given to each individual act's announcements on Instagram. Some slightly surprising figures in here. Interesting that the lowest likes are given to three of the four EDM acts on the list.

Think they're going to need to do some work to make the EDM crowd even know that they're being catered for more this year.

Justice - 711

Armin Van Buuren - 836

Boris Brejcha - 1198

RY X - 1204

Palaye Royale - 1558

Papa Roach - 1689

Kneecap - 2227

Riles - 2407

Anyma - 2526

Nelly Furtado - 4323

Charli XCX - 5856

Chappell Roan - 11472

Snow Patrol is…. Headliner material? I don’t think they even headlined Sziget back in 2009 which I think was the last time they came to Budapest.

Some day splits from Sziget's website:

Wed, 6th August - Charli XCX, Papa Roach, Palaye Royale(from thier webiste)

Thu, 7th August - Boris Brejcha, Justice, Nelly Furtado

Sat, 9th August - Anyma

Sun, 10th August - Armin van Buuren

Mon, 11th August - Chappell Roan

I guess that Justice will do a show in a tent because Nelly Furtado is clearly a co-headliner and Boris Brejcha will be in party arena?

I’m not totally convinced Palaye Royale are on the Wednesday because quite often before it’s announced what date an act is during a festival, the website will show the first day of the festival. It’s a possibility though given Papa Roach are on Wednesday, so Wednesday is heavy metal day (but with Charlie XCX as a weirdly out of place headliner).

3 of our 5 sub headliners being on the same day is very odd and leads me to think it might be a 3-way co headline with no other headliners to come. Something like Nelly Furtado in the early evening, followed by Justice and then Boris Brejcha to finish off the main stage.

I would guess 3 more headliners will be announced. A rock band for the Friday, maybe a less known pop headliner for the Saturday (co-headline with Anyma) and then Post Malone for Sunday - Armin Van Buuren to sub headline him.

Subs wise I think you’ll get Snow Patrol and Tyla.

So that would leave:

Wed - Charli XCX, Papa Roach

Thu - Boris Brejcha, Justice, Nelly Furtado

Fri - Queens of the Stone Age, Snow Patrol

Sat - Anyma, Hozier

Sun - Post Malone, Armin Van Buuren

Mon - Chappell Roan, Tyla

I don't agree with this at all

The categorisation on the website could lead to believe this, however I would assume Nelly Furtado is main stage sub, with one headliner still to be announced. Justice will presumably be A38 headliner. I can’t see Sziget in 2025 booking Queens of the Stone Age, given there was no rock headliner in 2024 and they are moving towards a pop and EDM direction.

Wed - Charli XCX, Papa Roach

Thu - Shawn Mendes, Nelly Furtado

Fri - Olivia Rodrigo, Snow Patrol

Sat - Anyma, Bicep Live

Sun- Post Malone, Armin Van Buuren

Mon - Chappell Roan, Girl in red

Something along those lines I guess , could be completely wrong

I hope you’re right. I would prefer a proper headliner on Thursday. But I can’t see any of Boris B/Nelly F/Justice playing the 4th down slot when they’ve been given sub headliner billing on the poster.

I thought Leaks said ages ago there would be a single rock headliner?

Looking at who’s around next summer I think it’s one of QOTSA, Sam Fender or Vampire Weekend. I thought Kings of Leon were possible as well but they’ve got US dates either side of Sziget so not likely.

QOTSA was just a random guess out of those three. Fender would probably fit the demographic better tbh.

Qotsa are playing oya on the Friday.

So much on the Oya/WOW lineups that would make sziget superb.
