Acid_Haze
I can see Charli XCX as a Pyramid sub now rather than an Other headliner, now that it looks like she has a sub slot at Coachella and the headliners are looking like the 1975, Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Fender. Definitely makes more sense for her to sub one of them rather than be up against them on the Other.

Pyramid sub probably the more ‘prime’ spot, but then the Other headline slot affords her the full stage set up and dark which her current show seems to benefit massively from. Although I’m sure there’s crossover in fan bases, her vs Fender makes total sense to me.

Yeah I originally thought she'd be perfect on the Other vs a more heritage headline act, but now The 1975 are likely headlining Friday she would make a perfect sub for them. Also there is a bit of history of Coachella subs going on to sub Glastonbury too. Got The XX, Lorde, Doja Cat (until she dropped out), Tame Impala, Florence & the Machine (until she was bumped up). Don't think there's been a Coachella sub that's headlined Other at Glastonbury the same year. Yeah, she seems to just keep getting bigger so Pyramid sub would probably keep the most people happy to avoid clashes, and her before 1975 does work. Hoping for Other headliner myself, but I’ll just be happy if she’s there regardless. Hadn’t actually noticed that second point but that does seem to add up, although what with Travis Scott apparently playing the Saturday (‘designing the desert’, whatever the hell that means) Charli is likely to be third down rather than subbing. Yeah I think it's pure coincidence rather than a pattern but it could just be a sign that Charli's festival set works for non-headline slots. I was set on her headlining Other too till I saw this
MilkyJoe
Still think she'll headline Other to be honest if only to split the crowds.

Don't think they'll get crowd control issues with the 1975, O-rod and Sam Fender. If anything Charli up against one of them might get a bigger crowd

Badlands
No place to put her and unlikely in budget but damn I’d love to see Missy at the G
NorthernSoul52
Charli XCX into The 1975 on the Friday is pure party starter vibes, while Noah Kahan into Sam Fender on the Sunday would be peak curly-hair social songwriter vibes. Here for both.
NorthernSoul52
And get Jimmy Eat World in Woodsies while we're at it too.

Lose Control would also be a moment, with Fatman Scoop having passed recently. Edited Thursday at 08:56 AM by Rose-Colored Boy

Acid_Haze
Looking through that Coachella lineup, it looks they've gone big and splashed out with the headliners this year and the undercard is a bit weak because of it. The undercard's definitely been stronger in previous years
danjamesbaker
Future Islands just announced a show in Liverpool on 28th so presumably confirmed for the Saturday or Sunday.
NorthernSoul52
They're with Simple Minds in Glasgow that weekend, but would wager a Sunday slot.
Ben7amin_
Loosely around Glastonbury - Wrong Month & Country - but kind - of 1 off in regards to both - the reason I think its critical is that BICEP Presents Chroma - If that is still going on - I suspect - that a Live show at Glasto is off the cards now. Unless I’m mistaken that’s the first confirmation of Wet Leg being active next summer. Pencil them in for a decent slot.

NorthernSoul52
Not sure where Royal Blood would go if they did. Subbed last time in 2023, so seems to recent to me.
