Train

I tried to search but apologies if already dicussed the band name yielded a lot of not useful topics...

But wondered if anyone fancied Train to play?

Touring Europe / Gap in Schedule / Mid american pop rock.

Couldnt place them on a stage... seem too small for pyramid / not the sound of the other... etc

I could definitely see it. I think they're great live, seen them with my Dad a couple of times. Southampton -> London with a day in between definitely leaves a decent chance, especially as they'd only be doing 45 minutes in the day time.

Clairo?

Magdalena Bay?

Both and in and around the gaff at the time.

Currently have both in my predictions and would love to see them there. Have Clairo as Woodsies sub at the minute but wonder if she could headline that stage or maybe even the Park. Magdalena Bay would be excellent anywhere, reckon they’d go down on WH/The Park.

Wonder how many of these guys we could see at the G next year? Quite a bit of overlap this year (Dua, Janelle Monae, Avril, NBT, Soccer Mommy, Keane, Kiwanuka, Jessie Ware, Black Pumas, Alvvays, Breeders, Arlo Parks etc.)

Aside from O Rod and Royel Otis who have good intel, would love to see Alanis, Weezer, Iggy, St. Vincent, Foster the People, Future Islands and Bright Eyes. Still hoping for a potential KOL secret set but unsure if they're ruled out yet.

Charli xcx has recruited troye sivian for primavera to make it a sweat show. i wonder if the same might be the case for Glastonbury. I’d speculate that it’d need to be other headliner but it’d make it debatable for me to see her again as it’ll be different to the brat tour

Will be interesting to see what happens to her other dates in Europe around the same time given the Sweat tour hasn't iirc been to Europe yet. For eg she is playing Lido festival in London 2 days after Primavera so is she therefore likely to make this Sweat tour date more of a tour thing or is it a standalone show? Obviously doesn't have much impact on Primavera given you buy tickets for the festival rather than to see Charli specifically but with Lido 2 days later, although it is a day festival, a lot will clearly be buying tickets for that day to see Charli so if it then turns out it is part of a larger Sweat tour some could be annoyed. I for one really hope that she plays more than one Sweat tour date in June 25 given it hasn't been to Europe yet and I for one would love to see her and Troye headlining the Other one night at Glastonbury

It’s billed as the only European sweat show.

I don’t think Charli/Sabrina/Chappell was the coup they thought it was originally so they’re spicing it up.

One of the biggest surprises I ever had was when the criminals turned up at the school I taught in to do a surprise set. Only a few of us were aware of them coming. The school had suffered a tragedy and they had found out about it. They played in the assembly hall to the senior pupils. Scooby snacks was great! They spent an hour after talking to the pupils, signing autographs, giving out t shirts etc.

The Primavera show is on the same day as Troye Sivan's 30th birthday, so this was likely Charli's present to him. Cause it seems like PS is selling well. I also bet that the Sweat show will be two hours like during the arena run and I don't see Glasto programming them for that length of time.
