Leeds Festival 2024 - Weekend Industry Bramham Park - Leeds. I've won 2 tickets, but can't go. Does anyone want them?

It wasn't a competition that I entered for myself. I'm much older than you and would have felt like a pedophile, had they allowed me entry! *  I only ever entered that competition to give it away on here, should I win tickets. That deed is done now.

* - My neighbours went to their first festival last year. They knew that I had festival experience, but never asked me about a decision they made. They went to Boardmasters Festival - in their mid 40's. I'd have felt like a turd in a swimming pool had I attended.

I have friends who goi who are my age

they enjoyt it

I just hate anyone born in a centure that doen't start with 19

Hiya mate I’ve just been giving an industry ticket and wondering what they entail and if I need to say anything special to get into the place itself

What is a “Weekend Industry” ticket? Same as Guest tickets or more? Sounds fancy!

I'm afraid that I don't know what a 'Weekend Industry' ticket is either. The competition was via a radio station, and may have been some sort of VIP package - I'm not sure as I can only remember entering the competition and not the details.

You probably were!

😊went because the levellers were playing. Actually quite a pleasant wee festival. You can wander round the village, drink in the pubs. Used to go to see Fairport back in the 70s when Sandy Denny and Richard Thompson were in the band.

Oddly enough Cropredy has always been a festival that I had mulled over attending. I don't suppose it will ever happen now as I don't think my wife would like it / the festival like her. She was once escorted from a sedate poetry tent at a festival for storming the stage. I'd quite like to attend Latitude (Radio 4 - On - Sea) one year too, but that would be an anathema to her.

Hope everyone stays safe at Leeds. Done a few windy festivals in the past, always scary watching the stages and PA sway in the wind. We usually retreated to the car until it passed.

Reminds me of the Bearded Theory tornado years ago!

I saw a tornado touch down at the Wychwood Festival one year, not far from where we were sat outside our campervan. It just ripped up tents, bags, towels etc and sent them high high into the sky. Then they were hit by a crosswind up there and all the camping stuff etc was sent off way into the horizon. Absolutely no chance of the owners ever retrieving their stuff.
