Could do the same at Victorious though i guess I think they could be a Castle headliner. Glastonbury would we well to book them for WHs. 2 minutes ago, NorthernSoul52 said: Closing sets still baffle me in a way, but maybe I am just an old fuddy-duddy. It's just a way of being able to get in a headliner a dance decent act. I can't lie though, Fatboy Slim, Snow Patrol with Basement Jaxx presumably and Sting is a decent top four for me. Dales
Sex Pistols & Frank Carter playing Dreamland Margate on the 23rd Aug. They would make a fine sub for Castle stage. Do think they are more suited to other festivals like 2000 Trees but not playing there. What might stop it happening is if at Reading/Leeds or maybe doing a London Park gig. The more I think about it, somewhere like Gunnersbury seems likely but pretty sure there are still more dates to come from them.
sisco
So that’s all 3 of Y Not, Truck and Tramlines sending out teasers imminently. Guess they’ll come mid to end next week and Victorious the following week.

Last time Basement Jaxx played Victorious they were only a Castle Headliner, they ain't got any bigger, they're smaller in fact. Actually didn't they do Seaside Stage as DJ set since then. Or am I making that up? 😂

NorthernSoul52
Squeeze can be excellent when they get their festival setlist right.

NorthernSoul52
God, I haven't seen Van Morrison in a while. Think it was the opening gig at whatever Hull Arena is called these days. Conexxion Live?

Dg_vic
Based on speculation for truck, y not and Kendall and coachella announcement, I am sticking with my common stage headliners being prodigy - fontaines dc - pulp Castle stage headliners guess Travis - libertines - last dinner party I am least confident about pulp. Gets the setlist right, it can be a right ol' knees-up, his questionable views on the pandemic aside.
NorthernSoul52
Pulp would be the kind of booking that is both obvious and still a coup, given how big those dates were when they came back.
Jack01825
What time of year do victorious usually put the teaser banner up on the castle stage field?
NorthernSoul52
Early in the new year, isn't it?
JRhys29
Pretty sure the Jamiroquai and Fatboy Slim teases of the last few years were early December, with the lineup following not long after. Would expect the first drop this side of Christmas.
Dg_vic
Initial announcement usually early December. Would suspect this will be the case this year also with truck and tramlines announcing next week (also superstruct) with victorious soon after. last year we got pretty much the whole line up on initial announcement. Hopefully the same again this year.
NorthernSoul52
I do like it when you get a lineup that just gets it all out of the way at once. None of this mucking about malarkey.
Dales
Hopefully, it will be soon as really want to make some solid plans for next year.
roonboyz08
Line up was 5th of December last year, the teaser on hill was up about the 26th of November (unveiled officially on social media 28th of November). So I would expect the teaser to be up on hill by Monday with announcement midweek roughly the 5th.
NorthernSoul52
Plans already firming up around this time of year. It's the wrong end of the country for me, but I have friends down there who keep trying to persuade me. One year, I'll cave.
