Tbf, IOW booked Robbie Williams and Green Day the past 2 years which are stadium acts?

Had Muse too in 2022, who played stadiums in 2023 (more random ones but Huddersfield and Plymouth count).

Β

Green Day was quite the get, mind, given it was literally 2 days after I saw them at a sold out Old Trafford in Manchester (atrocious traffic management on the way out or otherwise)

All for Β£8 a ticket.

Β

Anyone who went to that tour some 24 years on must see that as extraordinary value for money, not least given Muse & Coldplay have spent years playing venues that charge Β£8 a drink.

I was at the Wolves Civic gig, was the last gig at the Civic at the time, they knocked out the sides and added extra bars afterwards only took a few months unlike the recent works that took like 5 years plusΒ

Β

Still have my ticket as well. Coldplay released yellow about 2 months later and blew up.Β

Β

Muse toured so much back then, think I saw them without travelling very far about 5 times in a 2 years span.Β

This got me curious to count. setlist.fm says that between 1999 and 2001, they played over 400 concerts. So, yeah, that was a lot of concerts in quick succession.

Victorious could still book Pulp and Kings of Leon btw, it would just mean the undercard would suffer.Β

Β

The year that Prodigy played, the undercard that day was noticeably weaker.Β

Β

Friendly Fires sub and Sleaford Mods 3rd down.Β

Β

Saturday had a top 3 of Weller, Brian Wilson and The Cribs, I doubt Weller and Wilson came cheap.Β

Β

I could see it being Madness Friday, Pulp Saturday, Kings of Leon Sunday.Β

Β

That would be financially doable imo.Β

Well Tramlines isn't an exclusive. So logically they're going to be turning up somewhere

Β

Yeah, it's the KOL booking that's thrown me as before that I thought there was a good chance of Pulp but as has been said maybe they are not as expensive as we thought.

Β

That would be quiet a due KOL & Pulp, would not really care who the third would be.

Please no madness AGAIN. Would be 3rd time headlining and they are so tiresome now.Β
Β

There always seems to be a β€˜dancey’ headliner so can’t see 3 x guitar bands (if you can call madness that) playing.Β

2017... Friday night headliner - Madness

4 years later

2021... Friday night headliner - Madness

4 years later

2025...Β

Β

Castle stage will likely have the pop/dance headliners if the Common has Madness/Pulp/Kings of Leon

Β

I've convinced myself those are the headliners πŸ˜‚

Β

There's precedent for acts to only do one festival, but still not be advertised as an exclusive. Several former Glastonbury headliners fall into that category.

Kings of Leon headlining Lytham as well, so not an exclusive.Β

That's getting announced tomorrow so Victorious announcing tomorrow as well we reckon?

Possibly.

Β

Feel like they haven't used their old cherry logo in a while tbf.
