2009 was my first Glastonbury and Neil my first headliner. People may not have known his songs, but when he played "Rocking in the Free World" he had that crowd in his hand.
I got my ticket to see Bruce not understanding Glastonbury at the time. He was only OK, one of his weaker gigs and I've seen him a few times. Blur were of course amazing.
If Neil plays again I'll be back, shifts permitting. Have to support my countryman 🙂
A contrast given the only 3 times I've seen them have been much bigger in scale.
Though I thought they were rather good when I first saw them at the MK Bowl in 2014. It may have helped that I had low expectations because a lot of people gave me the impression they'd be sh*t and I actually came away liking it. Plus playing Red Morning Light helped.
