Victorious Festival 2025

Recommended Posts

A few clues why this poster could be real.

Public Service Broadcasting indicated a few months ago on a Q&A about their next tour: "We're also hoping to get two local-ish festivals for Suffolk and the south coast." They've just been announced for Latitude and Victorious is clearly the south coast one.

Someone on the All Points East thread indicated they knew who was playing at APE, saying one of the days was headlined by an indie band 'with bite'. That points to Vampire Weekend. So V/W play London one weekend and then Victorious the following weekend? They will want to wrap up the current UK tour (ends on 11 Dec) before announcing new UK shows. Maybe QOTSA also playing APE on another day?

I reckon it’s real. Maybe they need to “prove” themselves before they could start enticing the us acts over?

I also find this "line-up" very male dominated and there's not many female bookings. Victorious is known for having more of a mix, booking artists like sugababes, ellie goulding, becky hill. There's barely any pop names in there, let alone female pop names and that makes it seem not like a victorious line up to me..

I think it’s real. Does seem to quite indie / alternative and is maybe missing an Anne-Marie / Becky Hill or someone of that ilk? I also thought they’d continue with the dancier Friday night headliner.

I’m not sure my group will be too enthused but theres plenty there for me.

We should soon enough - they’ve announced on TikTok that the lineup is dropping tomorrow!

It may well be real but it's a very big change in direction for the festival if it is.

It's not for me- I find the line up very indie/rock which is nice but I always liked how victorious had the 'pop' alternatives too - Ellie Goulding and Sigrid were some of my favourite acts in 2023 and this line up is really lacking on the pop names to go up against the rock/indie.

I like a lot of the undercard (everything everything etc) but I was expecting something else. It's a miss for me if this is the line up.

I reckon it’s real. Not only has the line up been taken down on Facebook, but it was re-posted on another post….thats disappeared. The image on Original rock has gone.

However it’s all over now! I’ve been sent the line up by 5 different people on text/groups.

I think that’s Wolf Alice btw

In terms of female pop act comparisons...

Last year's first announcement had Jess Glynn, Holly Humberstone, Becky Hill and Arlo Parks.

This theoretical announcement has Nelly Furtado, Gabrielle, Mel C and Caity Baser.

It seems comparably female and comparably strong to me. If anything I'd say the higher names this year is reflective of a stronger female presence in terms of the slots the women are playing in.

The names this year are far less mainstream. Whether they are stronger or not is subjective.

They're definitely less "Radio 1". But in terms of mass market appeal, Nelly Furtado has more monthly listeners than anyone else on the list. Mel C is the single most famous person on the list. I think both lists are different kinds of mainstream. I do take your point though.

Maybe for monthly visitors but Becky Hill or Ellie Goulding will draw a larger crowd than Nelly Furtado. With Ellie Goulding you are practically guaranteed to know multiple songs which she has released.

The line up doesn't work for me but it will be strong for a lot of people. A shame as I was looking forward to victorious , but I will give it a miss now for 2025.

It says "Acoustic Set"

That could well be for real. I've seen Dodgy do an acoustic set some years back (on a canal barge in Sheffield), and it works well.
