Victorious Festival 2025

Was just thinking about Bloc Party and KOL. REALLY hoping they aren't on at the same time. Would be perfect Bloc Party followed by KOL on common.

Bloc party literally did the same set on the castle stage in 2019, so can't see it again.  Gabrielle 3rd down does not compute (she is not even as big as the Sugababes, who were much further down on the bill this year) so suspect there is something else to slot in there...

Fantastic line up - already dreading some of the clashes! Personal opinion, but great to see it heading towards a more guitar heavy line up rather than the radio 1/pop/dance route that a lot of festivals are and have taken.

Reaction seems mostly positive on X but it’s not for me. That’s fine, I can move on.

Although QOTSA and VW look good to an Efests contingent, I’m not sure how popular they’ll be with the festival clientele. I suspect the Castle will be rammed with people singing Baggy Trousers and House of Fun rather than standing on the Common with songs “no one knows”…

Are VW really that big?
Anyway I wish them well but I won’t be there. Perhaps the alternative Rewind of Forever Now is where I’m at these days. I’ll be at that for sure.

James/Mondays/Lightning Seeds locally in Colchester on the Friday and maybe the Maccabees at APE on the Sunday will do for me.

KOL is a great booking for the festival I think. Less convinced by the other two.

I agree that this really is a great lineup - not just the headliners either. I used to go to both IofW and Victorious, but think we will be giving the IofW a miss this year. For anyone who hasn't been to Victorious it is also a great setting, overlooking the sea, with the castle, etc. Always a good festival, but next year could be the best yet...

Someone had a moan about the lack of diversity/female headliners and I suggested they book SZA. They came back with "no". Haha

Wolf Alice would have been the perfect booking to go after The Last Dinner Party on Saturday. TLDP are amazing - saw them last month at Apollo. Definetly recommend if you haven't seen them yet.

I was front and centre for TLDP last year at IoW. 🙂

They seemed to be everywhere last year low down and saw them at a few festivals, all early doors. Was on the barrier at BST last year and tiny crowd at their stage. How their star has rocketed. Seemed to be playing everywhere again next year but now in high positions.

And half the price of the Isle of Wight AND you don’t need to get to the Isle of Wight which is expensive if you don’t live there already

Just seen that Vampire Weekend are UK exclusive.

I would have said they were the smaller of the three headliners but even they are a UK exclusive!

I have said a few times Victorious should spend more on the headliners and maybe clip some day time acts to fund it. However, I never thought I would end up looking at British Summer Time and Download for potential headliners. Is this the same festival that thought Jamie T was a decent headliner this year?

I am predicting Metallica and Olivia Rodrigo for 2026 and The Strokes as our "New York Band" 🤣

The thing is, I don't think much is actually out of the question now is it? The Strokes would be awesome. I missed them at APE last year cause I was at Victorious. Missed Death Cab/Postal Service this year cause I was at Victorious....hopefully I won't miss Wolf Alice 😆
