I have more proof that I reckon we could get The Cure one day. They are releasing a new album and announced it with a poster in The Railway pub in Crawley where they played their first ever gig. I used to go out with someone from Crawley and we spent a lot of time in that pub, and it is a very bog standard, go and play pool, used to pay £2.50 for a double vodka lemonade back-in-the-day, type spot. https://www.nme.com/news/music/the-cure-album-poster-appears-in-crawley-pub-where-they-played-their-first-gig-3793696 How does this suggest they would play victorious? because crawley is fairly nearby? First single is out thursday so reckon dates will rule them out soon. They are pretty big and don't seem to be the kind of older act where victorious seem throw their money at imo Edited September 23 by gfa

Robert lives in Bognor, and they are still pretty good at "cheaper" accessible events. But a new album does suggest their stock will increase somewhat again. Their last uk festival show was glasto (albeit as a smaller headliner) Victorious would be a big old step down!

I think The Cure are one who just play the events they fancy rather than have a straight set size they won't accept.
beau1
The posters by The Cure are places associated with the band rather than an suggestions of shows. Railway in Crawley - Where the band played their first shows and where they grew up. Blackpool - Robert Smith was born there. I think they may some shows not sure about Victorious, don't think there is a connection.
Steve G
I've predicted The Cure to do Lytham Festival in-between a UK tour similar to how Def Leppard/Mötley Crew did there tour.

HarryHammer
We had a year off this year due to what we thought was a pretty weak line up... heard that the Courteeners set got shaved and the Snuts pulled out so that made even more concrete our decision.... hope to be on board again this year and for us the line up can't be as bad this time around... regarding Olly Murrs... bit of a strange one... seen him twice at Horse Racing nights... and normally we raise an eyebrow and say Oh great whatever.... but give him fair dues... he puts on a decent show and think he'd be great for a afternoon slot over the park. The previous couple of years we had been we have had a blast and the choice of music was brilliant... any returns from:- Friendly Fires Raye Charlatans Blossoms Kasabian Pale waves Inspirals Ben Howard Sigrid (brilliant) Johnny Marr The Enemy Hard Fi Sterophonics Bombay Bike Club Self Esteem Primal Scream paolo Nutini Bastille Wombats OCS Sam Fender NBT Reytons (brilliant) Libertines ... and we will be booking

Quiksylver
So Hotwax and Divorce both release their debut albums on 7th March. I'd LOVE to see them next year at Victorious.
eatingglitter
They'd be pretty solid. Victorious were pushing Bob Vylan's gig at the Guildhall the other day, and Hyphen the support is apparently from Portsmouth. Would LOVEEEEE to see them on the billing next year. Anybody heard any rumours yet?

Anybody heard any rumours yet? Bob Vylan would be great at this, similar slot to Soft Play this year would be good. Not sure if they really suit this though. Not sure if it’s a rumour but Bloc Party were announced for Live At Leeds In The Park which The Kooks headlined this year so I’d say they’re fairly likely to be booked. Only booked recently doing Silent Alarm in full so I'd suspect not.

They still essentially did the same show though but without the hits.

Easy to London then down to Brighton on the train. Just as far to Leeds but more convenient and I've not been to Brighton for ages.
